Hi, I'm Caylah. I'm a stay-at-home Mum with a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. My partner Brent and I met at Fraser Island in 2001. Our families had been travelling to Fraser Island every year prior and have continued ever since.

We're both hard workers and aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. So, when we finally bit the bullet and purchased our very own piece of Fraser Island, we took on all the improvements on our own. We love what we've managed to create so far and hope everyone enjoys our little home away from home as much as we do.

When we're not at our Island home, Brent works as a piler and when I'm not on child-rearing or home maintenance duties, I restore headlights and ice-dye Turkish towels.

We think this property is perfect for the family who simply wants to stay on their own with their kids, or those who are here to go fishing. We do have enough beds to sleep 9 guests, but with 3 of those beds being single bunks, we feel it's only comfortable for a maximum of 6 adults. Being on a half-acre block, there's plenty of space for boat parking, etc.

You can enjoy the ocean breezes while watching the sun rise over the ocean in the morning with a coffee... or even watch the whales pass through in the cooler months. It's a great home-base for those wanting to explore the top end of the Island.

We've recently upgraded our off-grid power supply, meaning we have a microwave, an electric kettle and toaster, a sandwich press, bread maker, slow cooker, etc. and you needn't be concerned with running out of power.
We've recently repainted the entire house, ripped out the old, daggy stuff and put in a whole new kitchen, laundry and bar area with stone benchtops, etc. We're constantly aiming to improve what's on offer.
Unlike many properties on Fraser Island, we supply all bed linen including pillows, mattress protectors, fitted and top sheets, comforters (plus spares), bathmats, tablecloths and tea towels. We just don't supply bath or beach towels or face washers (for hygiene and inventory reasons).
