It is a lovely little property. Very peaceful. Just down the road from several wineries. Very clean and welcoming. Coffee was very good. Loved the little patio to sit and drink coffee in the morning or star gaze at night. Great common area with grills and another area for playing corn hole.

The lighting around the entrance at night needs improvement. Coming in from the east on 290 there is light. There is no lighting when cunning from Fredericksburg. The entrance is easily missed. The stickers were hard to manage.

Fun experience

Such a great stay! We are always on the lookout for some new & different for our travels and were intrigued by the idea of staying in a space like this. It did not disappoint. Location was superb, the space beautiful, overall amazing vibes. Would recommend to anyone.

I liked the rustic area of The Container and while it is quiet, it is close to a couple of wineries, so I didn't feal isolated. I didn't fully think the communication was easy when I had a question about the guest book being online. (This could be my own issues with tech.) That question was answered when I did check in to my unit. The restaurants and a grocery store are close by and there are options in Fredericksburg. I loved the coffee that was furnished in the kitchenette!! The bed was very comfortable. The host had warned about the hot water in the shower but I had no issues with it. It appeared to cycle during use but it didn't go cold so I was fine. I travel alone and the space was just right for me. I would recommend The Container Retreat to others who are exploring the area.
