Escape the crowds and enjoy the quiet side of MDI—while still enjoying quick, easy access to all Acadia has to offer—in this cozy, darling cottage just a minute walk from the working harbor of Bass Harbor and a minute drive from Acadia and its stunning trails.

Quiet, well-appointed, and full of charm, this is the perfect getaway for a single person, a couple, or a small family. You'll love the keen attention to detail, high-quality and well-stocked kitchen, and massive fenced-in backyard for your pup. Enjoy the faint sounds of the fog bell in the harbor when you wind down in the comfortable queen bed, then sip your morning coffee (or espresso - we have both!) on the patio, or cozy up on the comfortable couch and watch the stunning morning light filter through the big, bright windows.

Enjoy a short 2 minute walk to the ocean, and beautiful views of the active, working Bass Harbor, where local lobstermen come and go. Drive just 90 seconds down the road (or walk!) to the only lighthouse on the island, iconic Bass Harbor Light, or to the stunning Ship Harbor Trail, a mellow 1.5 mile hike with breathtaking ocean vistas.

Fiona's Cottage is unique: it's comfortable and full of classic New England charm, just minutes from beautiful water access, hiking in Acadia, and the stunning and iconic Bass Harbor Light. It's It's nestled in the heart of Bass Harbor, the island's busiest working harbor, but is also just a short (beautiful!) drive to the nearby towns of Southwest Harbor (5 minutes), Tremont (1 minute), Somesville (12 minutes), Northeast Harbor (20 minutes), and Bar Harbor (25 minutes). You get the best of MDI while avoiding the overwhelming crowds located in the more well-known parts of the island, and is the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring in Acadia.
