Fantastic stay! Check-in and check-out processes were super easy, and the place was beautiful and clean. Best experience away from home we’ve ever had!

Thanks Dennis! I’m so glad you felt right at home!
This house was perfect for our group of 7. The 4 kids had a blast being together in the large room, and we easily could have had a couple more! The 4 adults had beautiful rooms and plenty of space too. We loved it and such a cute Farmhouse Texas vibe. Our first visit to the state was wonderful.

Thank you Lisa! We hope you make it back to Texas!
We had the best time! House was beautiful and perfect for our mom’s weekend away. Love being in the country but not too far from downtown. The host/ management were very responsive and checked on us too.
We thoroughly enjoyed the farmhouse! It was clean and comfortable for a girls getaway, just what we expected. There was nothing to worry about with our accommodations which gave us the freedom to concentrate on the fun we had planned. Wonderful!
My girlfriends and I had the best time staying in this adorable farm house! It's so close to everything while also having the quiet, country feeling. The home is comfortable with cozy beds. Instructions left by the host were easy to follow. We enjoyed every moment! Thank you!
We loved our stay in the farmhouse! We kept saying how at home we felt and loved the location. We are certainly hoping it’s available for our future stays in Waco. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Pros:Very cleanComfortable couchGreat dining tableComfortable bedsLarge propertyLots of parkingLarge front porchBbqFirepitLess than a mile from Helberg BBQNear the lakeCons: Cockroach in bedroomLarge banana spiders (trash cans and porch) Road was busier and louder than expected No privacy curtain on backdoor
We enjoyed our visit to the Waco area. The farmhouse was clean and beautiful decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The response time from the owners was fast. Would return on future trips.
This home was perfect for our family’s weekend stay. The home is well appointed with a definite understanding of hospitality and what guests will both need and appreciate. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable in every way. Very highly recommend!!
This was, by far, the nicest home away from home I’ve ever stayed in. We visited the area with our adult children and their significants. The home felt so warm and inviting and the decor was so tastefully done. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Lacey for your hospitality!
This was the perfect home for a family of adults to stay. We were there with our adult children and their partners and everyone had plenty of privacy. The kitchen was large. The living room was very comfortable. There were deer that came to visit in the morning.
Pros: 1)The house and the grounds were beautiful! Great colors and decor. 2)Plenty of towels. 3) Host responds very quickly. Cons: 1)We specifically booked a house with a fireplace. We brought firewood, only to find out that the fireplace is decorative only. You should NOT list the fireplace as an amenity if guests cannot use it. 2) Hot water runs out in the non-master bathroom after only 1 shower. 3)The non-master king room has a completely broken bed frame, cracked right in half, resulting in 2 sleepers rolling toward the middle.4) We specifically booked a house in the country to be able to do fireworks, only to find out our host bands them. It would be beneficial to let your guests know that BEFORE they arrive for New Years Eve.

Hi Heather,
It sounds like it would have been beneficial for you to ask about fires and fireworks before booking if it was that important to you. I understand that you were upset that you were asked not to burn the wood you brought since this home is older with original floors. However, we still found partially burned wood in a plastic trash can that could've caught fire. We do provide a fireplace with beautiful electric logs for a relaxing ambiance and a gas fire table outside for your use. If you had asked before you booked, I would've kindly let you know that we don't allow indoor fires due to high risk, allergies, and increased cleaning demands. There is only a volunteer fire department that services this area and no neighborhood fire hydrants.
We will address the broken frame immediately and have the hot water checked, as this is the first time it was brought to my attention.
All my best,
Lacy
We stayed here for our daughter-in-law's graduation; her family stayed in the house next door. Having adjacent places was wonderfully convenient for accommodating two families. Being right on the highway made it easy to find. It does not have an automatic dishwasher, so if that is important to you, bring paper plates! For our needs, it was perfect in every way - clean, well kept, as good as it looks in the listing - lovely.
We stayed at this house with two families, one with a 2 year old, and the other with a 5, 3, and 1 year old. One bedroom was basically sound proofed, but may not get as cool as the rest of the house. Each room had a white noise machine, which was a nice feature! The kitchen was fully stocked with tools, but the can opener was too weak to open a can of beans. We got to use the fire pit, which is powered by a propane tank, and the grill (pilot light didn't work so we had to buy a long lighter to get it started). Don't forget to bring your own bottled water unless you are ok drinking tap water! The house was very clean and comfortable. It is a little far to drive to downtown Waco, but not all that bad if you don't have to make a trip back to the house mid-day and drive back to town. All in all, it was a great little house!
My husband and I love this area right outside of Waco, TX. We purchased Gathering Oaks Retreat across the hwy from these farmhouses six years ago. The farmhouses make an amazing addition to our growing reunions and retreats, or can be rented individually. My daughters loved helping pick out decorations to make this charming farmhouse a delight to stay in!
