We had a great stay at The Bear’s Nest! The property and views were beautiful, the hostess was very responsive and there was plenty of space for our large family. Having 2 living areas was great with lots of kids and adults staying together. The kitchen was amazing and nicely stocked. The back yard space leading to the river was gorgeous. This is definitely a place we would love to visit again!

This was a great place for a girls get-away weekend! All kitchen essentials were in very good condition, and there was nothing missing that we needed. The location is far enough out of town for true peace and quiet, and close enough for shopping, etc.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood with great private access to the river. The space of this home was greater than expected, and the listing images were not provided at an angle as to make the home look larger. This is a great escape for a large family, or business stay for multiple employees! I WILL be booking THIS home again!

It's a super cute home. It's a great place for multigenerational families to stay together: grandparents, kids, and grandchildren. We traveled from Seattle, San Antonio, and Temple for a family reunion.

Even before our arrival, Julia was so helpful with questions I had before our arrival. When we pulled up to the house & walked in, there was a 3-ring binder welcoming us with history about the neighbourhood, information about the Waco area, a listing of nearby restaurants & those that deliver! Pictures do not do this warm, wonderfully cared for home justice. It is such a peaceful retreat, close to Baylor & activities and a great getaway with amazing, night skies viewing, too (there is very little “light pollution” despite being within 5-10 mins. to campus/downtown Waco!). If you’re touring Waco or, like we, attending events for our kidult at Baylor, the “Bear’s Nest” is a brilliant place to hang your hat, kick off your shoes & melt into a chair outside on the deck at the end of the day. Julia (& her husband,Troy) went way, above & beyond to make us feel at home during our stay. They were fabulous hosts! (Sic ‘em Bears!)

PERFECT AND COZY SPOT GREAT PLACE TO RELAX

THIS PLACE IN A GOOD AND SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT IS VERY QUIET AND THE HOME IS VERY COZY AND CAN ACCOMIDATE 9 PEOPLE VERY COMFORTABLY. THE HOUSE IS NEWLY REMODELED AND VERY SPACIOUS. THE GAMEROOM WAS PERFECT FOR THE ONES THAT WANTED TO WATCH A MOVIE WHLE THE OTHERS WERE ABLE TO PLAY GAMES IN THE MAIN ROOM. THE VIEW OUT THE BACK OF THE HOUSE WAS AMAZING AND PEACEFUL. THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE SHEETS AND THE TOWELS VERY CLEAN AND CRISP. THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL REFRIGERATOR THAT WE WERE ABLE TO USE FOR THE FOOD THAT WE BROUGHT. THERE WAS PLENTY OF TOWELS FOR EVERYONE. THERE WAS ALSO PLENTY OF PARKING FOR EVERYONE TO PARK. IF THERE WAS A 20 STAR OPTION THAT IS THE OPTION THAT I WOULD CHOOSE. THE PROPERTY OWNERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND QUICK TO RESPOND TO MESSAGES.
