About the host

Hosted by Michael Lew

Host profile image
Michael Lew is an accomplished businessman who resides in Palo Alto, CA, with his two teens, aged 15 and 17 years old. Michael enjoys going on vacations and doing fun activities with his children, and last year around New Year's, they decided to try skiing (and snowboarding) for the first time. The experience was so enjoyable that they proceeded to go back to Lake Tahoe several more times. While on one of the trips, Michael stumbled across a magnificent Victorian style home in a pristine location ,and upon touring the place he immediately fell in love with the home's grand rooms and elegant touches that takes you back to the 20th century. He know that with some renovations, the house would become his dream vacation home. His children also loved the home so much they urged Michael to buy it. So with the help of his business partner Edwin Guzman, they purchased the house and started work on bringing it back to life. They proceeded to repaint the exterior, and redo the roofs, before turning the back yard into a work of beauty, and finally finishing the interior and installing new appliances. In the summer time, Michael and Edwin's families went on vacation trips to Colfax, and realized that this beauty would make the perfect vacation rental. So that brings us back today, where Michael believes that this Historic, yet modern home can bring families together and enjoy unforgettable family experiences, just like he has with his family.
