This property is in the worst part of town, as well as filthy dirty! We checked in and immediately wanted to walk back out. Filthy floors, crumbs in bedsheets, countertops, and table. The neighborhood is very trashy and unsafe feeling. You could just tell that it was not kept up well. The worst part is the manager/ owner had agreed to a full refund after telling him we were not comfortable staying there and having to find another rental. After months of trying to receive the refund, he lied over and over again. I finally talked with vrbo and too much time had pasted for them to do something about it. That part is on me. If I had gone straight to them it would have been ok.
You do not want to stay here or have to deal with the owner of the property. It’s sad some people in this world feel it’s okay to treat people this way.
The home was disgusting just filthy we couldn’t even sit on the couches, no covers on light switches or outlets, holes in the wall. The home even had fleas. I’ve reached out several times to get a refund not him or vrbo is giving my money back. Don’t waste your time on this property.
Upon arrival we noticed safety issues with light switch covers off, rusty nails and busted drawers in the kitchen.
We also noticed the AC unit was not running and contacted the owner. After some semi troubleshooting on his end he told us he was contacting someone. We then spent until 10pm that night trying to get him to get someone out to fix it only to get different answers each time (his times and reports did not line up at all). We ended the night with no solution, inside temps in the 80s and the feeling we were lied to.
Finally someone came out the next morning and reported a totally different issue than the owner gave us (which is why we feel we were misled) and got it resolved quickly. The maintenance guy also came out to fix the busted faucet, broken drawers but still left with an exposed light switch in the kitchen. At this point we just gave up letting the owner know and decided to try to salvage what was left of our vacation.
We dealt with busted shower heads (pulled out of the wall), more outlet covers missing, holes in the walls from outlets they removed, broken furniture with jagged wood pieces sticking out, bedroom doors that won’t shut or even lock, etc. (all documented). Even the kids room with the bunk beds were too close to the fan so you couldn’t turn the fan on without a child in the top bunk busting their head.
I don’t feel it is properly prepared for renters at all. It’s a high price point for what you get and we would not go back.
