Lovely house many issues
While the house and gardens were lovely, well located, with good beds, interesting artwork there were many many concerns. First, the host still has not sent me part of my refund from when I had to drop one day many months ago. I am still owed $112.00. The steps leading to the gate to the back yard are dangerous. The kitchen has very poor lighting. The bedroom lacked open closets or places to hang clothes. The water was just warm in both showers, never hot, the liner for the for the downstairs shower was 5 inches into the tub making it difficult and dangerous to shower, a thick runner in the hallway on the first floor was curled up and dangerous, the directions for the alarm were not in the entry information and we set off the alarm. We had to search for the linens for the 4th bedroom. We have stayed in many houses in many states and this house is the only one that presented many concerns. It seemed like the owners and host were inexperienced or lacked knowledge as to how maintain and manage a short term rental home. We followed their list of requirements and were very respectful of the home but wished for a safer home with ample hot water, lighting and no safety concerns which would have been respectful of us, the renters.
I am still waiting for my refund I now know why there is only one review on the VRBO website.
