Experience the Dutch Village of 12,000 friendly people and 3 windmills. It is the Home of Tulip Time, famous worldwide Pella windows and Vermeer manufacturing giants. Dutch treats at Pella bakeries and tasty cheese and meats at the 2 meat markets should not be missed.

Bike (house is very close to Volksweg lake bike trail), golf, tour, shop, eat, boat/marina, swim, fish, hike all within 5 minutes of this country get away.

Located 60 minutes from Des Moines International Airport and Drake University, 5 minutes from Central College. 15 minutes from Newton, 15 minutes from Knoxville, 25 minutes from Oskaloosa, 95 mins from the University of Iowa and 85 minutes from Iowa State University.

Relax and enjoy the sounds of nature with a screened in porch after enjoying the endless shoreline of Lake Red Rock, the largest lake in Iowa. Whitetail deer, owls, 100's of bald eagles close. We had a lovely reunion of five friends from Iowa State University who all graduated around 1980. The home was perfect with lots of sitting spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms and a delightful screened in porch. There was even a fire pit in the back yard that we used twice. The owners were easy to work with and offered to help with whatever we needed but since everything went so smoothly we didn’t need to contact them. I would highly recommend this property for a family or group of friends.

Sisters weekend

We were here for our 11th annual "sisters weekend". There are nine of us & everyone was very impressed with this property! Lots of room to sit together, play card games, reminiscing,& just plain having fun & relaxing. Even the weather was perfect & the fall colors were very pretty. Relax and enjoy the sounds of nature on property where you'll perhaps see deer, owls and bald eagles. Bike, golf, tour, shop, eat, boat, swim, fish and hike all within five minutes of this country getaway.

What makes this property unique

Private, serene, rural setting on wooded acreage that allows for groups of up to 14. Large great room connects living, kitchen and dining area on first floor, along with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outdoor areas include screened porch and large grassy areas. Secured garage holds 2 cars. Lower level walk-out offers privacy with three bedrooms, one bathroom, living area and kitchenette.
