Pumpkin Hill-Great family home in an established neighborhood with privacy and a great mountain view. Three level home affords optimum privacy for guests. Main level has well equipped kitchen, dining area that seats 8, and has entrance to a covered porch. Living room has gas log fireplace, vaulted ceilings, entrance to deck, CATV with DVD/VCR. Full bath has with shower, Mst. BR has KING bed, and entrance to private deck, CATV with DSL internet access, and window unit A/C. Upper level has two bedrooms each with a window unit A/C (Queen, and DOUBLE) with full bath in between. Lower level has one bedroom (Queen) and one full bath. There's a family room with CATV,, game room with large table, board games and puzzles, and entrance to a lower deck. Laundry room. Occupancy Limit 10 . NO SMOKING. Pets are ok with a $175.00 non refundable pet fee per pet. There is easy access to this home located on Little Bear Pen- with a ‘drive through driveway’ and a carport.

Sleeping arrangements/ Bathrooms in a nutshell:

Main level: Bedroom #1 (King) One full bath with shower- the bathroom is located beside the bedroom. The bathroom has a sunken tub. Upper level: Bedroom #2- Queen bed Bedroom #3- Full bath in between the two bedrooms with entrance to bathrooms from the landing. Lower level: Bedroom #4- King bed Full bath located in the hallway near the bedroom

This home has a three-night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS.

Outstanding location for our family reunion

My brothers and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Pumpkin Hill House in Highland, NC. The house was very comfortable and cozy with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The house has the most beautiful view, unforgettable views We will plan another reunion next summer.

Fun for all for Thanksgiving

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cute house in Highlands for the week of Thanksgiving. We had 6 people staying there and we also had 6 more over for thanksgiving dinner. There was plenty of room for all. Kitchen was very well stocked utensils wise, lots of deck space, and it was a really nice trip overall. Location is super convenient to town. My grandmother also left her cane there and they kindly shipped it back to her. House is older, but they’re clearly taken care and put thought into comfort. Would definitely recommend. Our only issue was the heat is not left on between stays. If you arrive when the high was in the 30s, like we did, the house definitely takes some time to warm up.

Heavenly Highlands

Loved the beautiful mountain view of this property. We relaxed each morning and evening watching the many songbirds that came to the feeder on the deck. Great place to hike, explore town and surrounding area. A wonderful getaway.

Truly a delightful mountain experience!

I truly enjoyed the stay. The house was clean and well supplied. There was adequate space for all 8 of us. We especially got a thrill when we had a bear "experience" our first night there. Watched a mother and her cub wandering around in the yard. Fun to see from the safety of the house.

Awesome

The view of Sunset Rock and Satulah Mountain off the deck was a perfect place to dine and unwind and enjoy the mountain air. The house was perfect for our extended family and dog. The kitchen had everything we needed; there was no reason to eat out. The location is perfectly close to town, and we even used the trail to walk for the Eclipse viewing event. Thank you!

Great house for a group of friends

We shared the house with eight other people and there was abundant room. The views were great and they had everything we needed to cook full meals and take hot showers. Would go back again!
