RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #253 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Quick Beach Getaway

A smaller complex in a relatively quiet area with great access to the beach. Met all of our requirements fora quick beach getaway. Just wish we would have booked a longer stay.....

Quick getaway

Property was very clean. Plenty of towels provided, including beach towels which was appreciated. Very short walk to the beach. Only negative is that the mattress was rock hard.

Cute little condo overlooking the pool and the Gulf. Screened in patio. Beautiful weather and sunsets are amazing! It was the perfect time of year. Can't wait until next time.

Great Place

It was a short vacation for us, however our short stay was great and wished we had more time. Views of ocean, beach, nice pool, all was enjoyed. The only improvement could be the bathroom shower/ tub was worn out and needs replace or update. Other than that, we will return.

Nice room in a great location

This is our second visit to this property. It is in a great location right on the beach with a nice ocean view. This particular unit is getting a little run down - the couch was quite dirty and stained, the sliding door was fairly rough, and we had trouble with the TV. But overall it was a nice stay.

Comfortable and functional. 253 unit needs some work done- replace vertical blinds in main room and repair or refinish bathtub. Overall property and on site management is great!! Beach is beautiful and quiet…paradise.

Great waterfront rental.

Property has a great location and laid back vibe. Decor is functional, but is not furniture in listing pictures. The mattress is very firm. Rental was clean and equipped with everything you need. Loved the large screened in balcony. Pool is nice and was heated, as the temps were in the 70s...rare in October. We enjoyed our stay and plan on renting again.

Beautiful view.

The pictures don’t do the rental justice. We found the place even more inviting and the view from the upper deck is priceless. The beach was not crowded during our stay. The AC worked well. The bed and couch were comfortable. Relaxing environment. We were able to easily visit St Armand Circle one day and Anna Maria the next. Traffic toward Anna Maria is definitely something to be aware of before venturing out, especially if you have a timeline. We highly recommend Silver Sands in Longboat!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sofa is particularly dirty. The fire alarm system in the room beside me kept going off. I called maintenance (after hours). The person who answered could not put together even one coherent sentence. she transferred me (after a good amount of time) to someone else who gave me the key code so I could go in to the room myself and take the battery out of the alarm.
