Get ready for the day and head out on the boat for a fun-filled lake day making sure to stop at the various lakefront restaurants for lunch or dinner, and the creamery for dessert! Looking to explore the are by land? No worries, this home is located about 10miles from the heart of the lake area that boasts plenty of activities like ax-throwing, mini golf, go karts, hiking, and the four-season Wisp Resort. For the golfing fans, you’re in luck. The Thousand Acres Golf Course is less than 5 minutes from the home. Bring your clubs and get some practice in during your stay! After spending you days exploring the area come home and enjoying a relaxing soak in the bubbles of the hot tub. Gather on the bean bag chairs the conversation pit in the living room and let the warmth of the fireplace fill the room as you throw on your favorite movie or TV series. House has nice amenities and comfortable furniture. Great for a family trip and beautiful views of the water. That said, the house needs maintenance and a deep clean. There appears to be a roof leak and the beautiful cedar ceiling is covered in mold.

Deep creek stay

Loved it!! I’ve never been to Maryland before and choosing your place to stay fit is perfect! Loved the views, morning coffee on the deck or boat dock. Loved the wildlife… deer… etc… Would highly recommend and would love to stay again

Loved it so much we rebooked for next year

We had an amazing week at Wake Up Grateful. The property was tucked at the end of a cove so it was peaceful and had plenty of wildlife. Our older children came to visit for the weekend and the upstairs was the perfect place for them to have their own space. We also have family that lives near by so they were able to come down for dinners and enjoy the lake with us. There is so much open space in the home that we never felt cramped or on top of one another. The home was exactly as described and we can’t wait to go back next year.

One of the best!

So glad I found this place. Perfect house on the lake for a family getaway. The lake was beautiful. We loved sitting in the hot tub looking at the lake. Has a big yard to run around in. Lots of space in the house. Huge back porch with amazing views. The only issue we had was no bath tubs for the youngest to take baths in but we made the showers work. I have stayed at many houses at deep creek and this is by far our favorite.

The home is clean, well decorated and the layout was lovely. Plenty of clean towels and overall we loved the place and will plan to stay at this property again if available. We had some very minor observations for improvement: 1. The arcade machine was fun but not being set on free play requiring a quarter was annoying. Nobody has a quarter in 2024 2. The kitchen and first level need wi Dow treatments. There is free view into the home from the neighbours 3. The upstairs rec room to needs to be upgraded and modernised.

Terrible, we showed up and there was no electricity at the property. They knew there was no electric and we showed up with no warning and had to call them and talk to them after about 2 hours of fighting on the phone they sent us to a different home that was not lake front and did not have the same amenities for why we booked the first house. They refused to give a full refund and our first night of the trip was completely ruined due to all these issues. The new house was a nice property but we had no where to park our boat that we rented before we showed. That being said our boat rental the next day was affected since we had no dock to leave it for the day and missed out on several hours of that rental. Overall disappointed and plan to never use Railey ever again!

Beyond Expectation

I have never been to Deep Creek. It was a halfway point between my family and me. I have stayed in countless properties from FL to CA. I am very critical as my family and friend will attest. I searched many many properties in the Deep Creek area before selecting, "Wake Up Grateful". Let me just say, "I was very, very grateful!" It was just what I needed for my family reunion. It was clean, and more than fully equipped. Great big screen TVs in every room. The best in appliances. When we unpacked, one of the pantry shelves fell down with a big "boom" I called maintenance and Jay, quickly responded. He fixed it and we were back to business. Thank you to all.
