This traditional fisher’s house, fully renovated in 2022, is at the center of Grandcamp-Maisy, a few steps away from the beach, harbor, shops, and restaurants.
The seaside village of Grandcamp-Maisy is ideally located to visit Omaha Beach, La Pointe du Hoc, and the American Cemetery. By car, the medieval city of Bayeux is 25 minutes away, and the Mont-Saint-Michel is 1h30 away.
The four-story house features a living room with a sofa and television on the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom on the second floor. The third-floor bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, while the fourth-floor bedroom has two single beds. while the fourth-floor bedroom has two single beds. Please be aware that the house features a steep and narrow spiral staircase accessing the three floors, which may not be suitable for very young children or for those less mobile.
All linens are provided. Wi-Fi access is included. Free parking spaces are available on the street in front of the house. We also have a second cottage (3 bedrooms - 6 people) located just a few steps away.
Every morning, you can purchase freshly landed products from fishermen under the fish market hall (fish, crustaceans, and shellfish). At low tide, go in search of shrimp, spider crabs, lobsters, periwinkles... to enjoy a delicious seafood platter with family or friends. Explore the nearby oyster beds with retail sales as well.
In Grandcamp itself, numerous activities are offered: sailing school, fishing, sand yachting, horseback riding, hiking, a playground for children, and of course its magnificent beach, from which it is not impossible to observe seals, porpoises, and even, for the luckiest, some dolphins.
Grandcamp is also ideally located on the route of the Vélomaritime, a trail situated between sea and land for hikers and cycling enthusiasts going from Dunkirk to Brittany!
