During the summer months, we rent both houses together with total sleeping (in beds) capacity of 15. You will have your own private sandy beach with gentle entry into the water bookended by docks. It is a peaceful spot right on the waterfront and on the corner of a lovely cove. There is dock availability for your boat(s). You can also rent boats nearby. The view of islands and mountains is spectacular - especially at sunrise. Hiking Rattlesnake Mountain is an easy family activity that is only 10 minutes away but offers a view of the lake looking back at the rental house that is unsurpassed! The nearby town of Holderness has a Science Center, Squam Lakes Association, marina, gift shops and restaurants. There is also a wonderful spa in the town of Meredith, about 10 minutes away. Meredith is on Lake Winnipesaukee and offers a full grocery store as well as many charming shops and a lovely walking area along the waterfront.
In winter, Grapevine Cove is a quiet spot with walkout access to ice fishing and ice sailing, snowshoeing and ice skating. It is an easy drive to several ski areas. We rent the houses independently in winter. Seasonal rental possible.

About Debra McLoud
The property is owned by the McLoud Family of Plymouth, New Hampshire. The land was purchased by our father/grandfather, Merlond McLoud in the 1950's. He owned a construction company and together with his children developed Grapevine Cove. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy the best of New Hampshire's Lakes Region.
Why Debra McLoud chose Holderness
**Please note that we rent to our long-time guests first. At this time we have no availability for summer of 2021.** During July and August both houses are rented together. What makes this house unique
In summer, the property has one of the few sandy beaches on the lake and we believe it has the most beautiful view of all! There are two houses on the private road which share the beach and two docks. The houses are rented together in the summer and comfortably sleep 15. You are one cove away from Squam Lakes Association which runs boating lessons and regattas that are beautiful to watch from the beach. It is also relaxing to sit and take in the views of mountains and wildlife such as herons and loon and listen to their calls. The lake is clean and clear and offers swimming, fishing and boating. Bonfires in the evening are especially magical! The view around the lake at night is very peaceful.
