Red Dahlia Guesthouse

A car collector's paradise reimagined into a beautiful guest house situated on 20 acres of manicured landscape, pond, and woods. Lodging includes a deck with built-in grill overlooking the trees and wildlife where guests can enjoy their morning coffee or a private BBQ. Toast marshmallows at the fire pit or play a game of Pickleball, too.
Located less than 15 minutes from area attractions including Mid-Ohio Racetrack, Mansfield's historic downtown, Shawshank prison, and restaurants and nightlife.
The space
Guests can access the property by a private entrance which also serves as a paved walking trail. The 2000 square feet of guest house living space includes a well equipped kitchen and large family room with wood floors and wood vaulted ceiling where guests can prepare their own meals . In the adjoining common area guests can enjoy a game of pool. The spacious interior incorporates five retractable wooden garage doors and the original vinyl floor with brand new bedrooms and master bath. Each bedroom has a flat screen smart TV and hi-speed internet. Guests can enjoy the wood burning fire pit by the pond in the evenings or just sit on the deck and relax.
Guest access
Guests have access to the grounds, walking path, pond, fire pit, Pickleball, and woods. The biking trail is nearby.
There is ample parking for multiple vehicles including trucks, RVs, trailers and haulers, locked garages for motorcycles, essential tools and air compressor, and outdoor water spigots. .

Lovely home & property

We had a wonderful stay at The Red Dahlia property! Beautiful property with gorgeous grounds. The deck to the left was a wonderful place to hangout & enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the pond & grounds. The house was very clean upon arrival & well stocked with essentials. We enjoyed our stay & wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Red Dahlia gem

Another great stay at the Red Dahlia! Beautiful location! The home is close to everything & in a wonderful & peaceful neighborhood! The house is very comfortable for a family with a nice deck off the back over looking a beautiful yard. The owner Ellen is so kind & easy to communicate with. She was always very responsive! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Really cool property!! Wish the weather would’ve been nicer. Having the 5 garage doors up for the common area would have been a blast while playing pool. The conversion of this building into a 3 bed/2 Bath was genius. Ellen was an awesome host!! Will definitely stay here again on another trip up.

Respite at The Red Dahlia

This home is a peaceful oasis. It is well equipped, comfortable and has beautiful views. Stores and restaurants are a only a short drive away. We enjoyed coming back to the home after a long day, to sit by the fire and enjoy the company of family we don't see often. We also enjoyed a game or 2 of pool. Ellen was a considerate host readily available for any question I had. I look forward to returning in the warm weather to enjoy the back deck.

Red Dahlia is a great house and lovely property. So quiet and peaceful. It was expertly cleaned and had all the amenities we could ever need. The only negative is the living area couch is not comfortable at all. We couldn’t sit on it. So it could use replacing with something comfortable. Other than that we loved our stay.

Luxury Estate with Easy Access to Everything in North/Central Ohio

Came for long weekend. Caught up w friends in Mansfield, did a wedding in Cleveland, played at Malibar/Mohican for a day, felt like could have gone anywhere and always would have had easy return to tranquilty and comfort here. The place is comfortable, fun, larger than it looks, and feels like home. We loved the separate living and sleeping areas! Also, Ellen has thought of everything, from ziplocks, to baking trays, to quite nice lotion, eveything we needed and then some was right where we thought to look. All it all it was perfect for our busy family of five and we even had a guest one evening. Not going to accomplish that in even two hotel rooms! $300night felt like value! Oh and if you can, stay in the fall and make sure at least one day to make it up for the sunrise!!!!
