This property was absolutely beautiful and amazing the scenery and the inside of the house was everything that you could dream of and more a great place to go get away.
We had the very best time at Red Bend. The inside was very spacious and had everything we needed. Easy check in process, fast communication from the host, we enjoyed the walk down to the river and that rafting was nearby. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and by the fire pit.
Everything was nice. It was a gorgeous location. They left perfect instructions for what needed to be done and where everything was. We greatly appreciated the amenities. I would book this place again without blinking an eye.
We wanted to find a cabin that was relatively close to home with plenty of stuff to do. We spent time at the cabin, which was wonderful and had everything we needed for our trip. We also spent time at Mohican State Park and in Mansfield. Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely be booking again in the future.
We arrived to a fairy tale like cottage just outside of Bellville to a forested covered landscape and river. Our grandson loved the hot tub and sleeping in the loft. There were bedrooms on three levels to spread out. They homeowners provided coffee and everything we needed that I had forgotten to bring. The furnishings were perfect, especially the ski vibe in the lower level.
Overall cabin was great. Short drive to town & Mohican State Park/ activities. Hot tub was nice. Record player was a fun touch. Brick path to fire pit was a little slippery when wet so be very careful.
Property somewhat isolated which made it a little scary at night. Curtains on windows would have been nice.Beautiful view. Suggestion: Let visitors know beforehand that they will need propane for grill (or charcoal). Also the instructions said the grill was in the shed and the key was under the door mat - so that was a little confusing. Overall - we would stay again
Upon arrival the place was not cleaned at all. My guesta a s I had to spend time cleaning scrubbing kitxhen and floors. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom, no paper towels and no shower towels except 2 inenach bathroom foe 4 adults for 2 days. The television remote had corroded batteries and did not work. So after cleaning the place in arrival we had to find a store to buy basic nesessity items that were listed as provided. There were salt amd pepper as stayed provided, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were almost empty and also needed to be purchased which stated was supplied. My birthday trip was ruined and I was only offered the 100 dollar cleaning fee back since obviously we had to clean the cabin ourselves. Very disgusted at these services and handling of paying guests.
We had a great time staying here as a group, loved the hot tub. I will say the stairs are scary and so is the trail going to the water. That is my only complaint! Please also note the first floor bathroom has a sliding door which may feel less private if there are people in the kitchen. Overall, the property was clean and lovely! The hosts were great and answered all and any questions. We had beautiful views of the river and the decor inside the house is so cute. I love all the vintage decor - it was really thoughtful. We had a great time as a group and would definitely return again.
