Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Enjoyed our stay here, my only concern was the timing of the checkin information which was sent while on route to the cabin.

HI Sarah, thank you for staying. Regarding your concern, this is not the usual. The issue is, VRBO does not send us your email address regularly. I simply missed that we did nto have it. The full welcome letter for regular reservations is sent at the time of reservation and the day before, as with most hospitality accommodations. We are sorry for your inconvenience, we should have searched for your email sooner! Best, Todd
Theo was very accommodating, and responded promptly to our requests.

Thanks again for staying with us. Since it's only a four-star review we are wondering what we may have offered that did not meet your expectations which would be helpful for us to make every effort to improve what we have to offer. I hope that you'll reach out to me and let me know! Best wishes for a great summer, Todd and Leigh, Proprietors
Bryan, thanks so much for coming to the Adirondack appointment log! Hope we will have a chance to host you again. We are open all year round. All the best, Todd and Leigh
Overall nice clean rustic little cabin at a reasonable rate. Easy to get to and close to shopping, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Owner was friendly and checked in with us on our stay. If you don't need to be on the water and don't want to stay at a hotel, this is a great alternative with all the amenities you need including full kitchen.

Thank you for staying with us! We're so pleased with all of your positive comments which very accurately describe our place. For those Guests who may be interested, We also have on Lake opportunities as well nearby. We didn't see any negative comments, and so aren't sure why we didn't meet the five-star review but we hope to have another chance to do so if you return! Cheers, Todd and Leigh
Thank you for staying with us. We are a bit befuddled by your review which says that it is "accurately depicted", which is a positive, but that it was a three out of five experience ( the kiss of death in our industry!). What's even more odd is that this could be our most popular unit out of 31 accommodations and it is a year-round attraction. So this review seems to be quite an outlier and with no description and having had no complaints during their stay during peak season, we are at a loss as to how to describe to future Guests how this might impact them or what we can do in response. We hope that those entertaining reserving this property will make their own decisions or ask questions in advance. Thank you, the Drake Family
Outstanding overall experience. Cabin was just as advertised and very clean. Management was responsive to any issues. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great getaway to experience the Adirondacks.
Very nice, peaceful and relaxing could have used the extra 4" in the shower that was taken up by the soap dispenser

Hi Mike, thank you for staying with us. We appreciate that you were with us for a long stay and we're nice Guests. We always appreciate customer feedback and do our best to improve on our experiences. Based on your comments below, which you didn't mention to us when you were here, we are not quite certain about the manner in which you were inconvenienced by the shower soap dispensers; they are two and a half inches wide. We're sorry that you felt this was unacceptable, however, the state of New York passed a law several years ago requiring that all Hotel vendors forgo trial size sample soaps and shampoos and install pump style refillable dispensers. This is a rule that we follow as law abiding citizens. We are not in a position to increase the shower size. Is a full 5 ft tub and shower. We are uncertain why this would create a circumstance where you did not have enough space as it is a standard size in most homes or hotels across the United states. On a personal note, we are a bit disappointed that this resulted in a 20% loss of rating after what seemed to be a very nice week spent here with us. We wish you the best for the holiday season. The Drake family
We loved everything about the cabin very clean and had everything we needed the deck was amazing. Was very impressed with how quick the management was to take care of things when we called .We will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Thank you.
A few hiccups but Todd (the property manager) worked very hard to get them fixed quickly

Thanks for staying with us, and we enjoyed interacting with you. We regret that you were inconvenience that afternoon and had to use the space heaters for a while. Its also disappointing to us as a new listing that we are already behind the eight ball in VRBO having lost the top rating because the lp company failed to fill the correct tank. We're sorry about the inconvenience but it was an unfortunate mishap from the propane company. To all guests, we're not on public utilities here, we have to rely on deliveries and they didn't time it the way they normally do. There's nothing broken or otherwise it was simply that we ran out of propane within 2 hours we had propane again and everything was fine. Just wanted to let everybody know there's nothing wrong with the house. Thank you!
The cabin was fantastic. Would have been nice to have a working fire place and pit. This was expected to enjoy the full experience. We still enjoyed the stay. Thank you

Thank you Julia. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay, however, we need to correct these two statements regarding amenities. We reached out to you to discuss, but did not receive a reply back. VRBO did the same we understand, with similar results. Both the outdoor fire table and the indoor gas fireplace function properly, and as advertised. (wish we could include photos in this response). In fact, during your stay, you had email us a question concerning forest fires and possible restrictions to whch I responded that you may use the fire table on the porch whenever you would like. The fire table is brand new, replaced just before your stay, and I personally tested the flames. The indoor gas fireplace has no issues, and we can see the the gas flame of the pilot light as soon as we walk in the cabin. We tested it again just to confirm. We can only conclude that you missed out on these parts of the experience because you didn't know how to operate the devices. Since I did not receive any phone call or emails from you asking about instructions, and since there are instructions for these things on our website under 'guest information', we are wondering what the disconnect may have been and why you weren't able to use these things. We hope that, in future stays, if you need something, that you will just ask for assistance - we are here to help :)
Excellent stay in end of off season Lake George log cabin!
Todd was super responsive and helpful. A transformer blew in the area leaving all in the immediate region without power for part of out 2nd to last day, but Todd kept us updated so we knew how long to stretch our hike and puzzle making time :) highly recommend and will definitely return to this fabulous place. Comfortable, updated, lovely romantic rustic ambiance for our couple get-away. Great room Fireplace was wonderful as was outdoor fireplace.

Lisa thank you so much! I really enjoyed talking with you, and learning about your family. Please come back again! Cheers, Todd and Leigh
Todd was very accommodating. The pool closed a little early due to foliage but everything else was on point. This unit will soon have an outside sauna which will be amazing. It was quiet time in the season but the weather still felt like summer, so we utilized the deck for morning coffee and cribbage. Thank you for your hospitality.
So cozy, fireplace, and an amazing view of the lake from the balcony.

About the host
Hosted by Todd Drake
The Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge is a family owned summer-time resort located in Diamond Point, just north of the Village of Lake George. Our family, including our 4 children, have worked hard to provide a top-quality summer vacation experience in the Adirondack cabin resort tradition. We personally operate two small properties located just 1 mile apart in Diamond Point, and take great pride in the condition of our property, quality of product and customer service. We believe in maintaining this long tradition of fun with family and friends in one of the most beautiful regions on the USA. This is one type of property that "they aren't building any more of" and we are proud to preserve and improve on it.
Why they chose this property
The ADK Lodge has long been part of the generational tradition of venues hosting family trips to the Adirondacks for the last 60 plus years. We are located conveniently between the Village of Lake George and Bolton Landing, both just a few minutes down the road in either direction. There is so much to offer, from the gorgeous Lake front to outdoor sports, amusement parks, shopping, horseback riding, and more! A stay here will hopefully remind you of old memories while making new ones with friends and family.
What makes this property unique
The Owl is a unique cabin unit with a relaxing, raised deck overlooking the property and with a distant lake view through the pines. Enjoying the quiet burn of the fire table, reclined in Adirondack chairs is a great way to spend the evening with family and friends! The interior of this traditional and authentic log cabin building boats exposed beams and log siding inside and out, knotty pine finishes, hard wood floors and a stone chimney. The oversized sectional couch leaves plenty of room to entertain and kick back. Our grounds offer a reknowned pool deck, picnic area, bonfire pits, game room and more!
