Round cabin with firepit near Boone/Blowing Rock/Ski Slopes/Wineries/App State
The Hideaway is a newly remodeled, modern, 740 sq ft, round cabin that is ideal for a romantic getaway, small family vacation or a peaceful solo retreat. We are centrally located in the town of Foscoe between Boone (9mi) and Banner Elk (10mi), NC.
You will also be near: ~ Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline (6 mi) ~ The Original Mast General Store (6mi) ~ Sugar Mountain Ski Resort (8 mi) ~ Blowing Rock (10 mi) ~ Tweetsie Railroad (12mi) ~ ASU (12 mi) ~ Grandfather Mountain (13 mi) ~ Beech Mountain Ski Resort (16 mi)
Our favorite spot at our property is the outdoor firepit area. We use it whenever the weather allows. Starting our morning with a cup of coffee and a fire; while enjoying our peek-a-boo views of Grandfather Mountain really makes us feel like we are on vacation. In the evening after a busy day at the slopes, snowtubing, riding the mountain coaster or hiking a new trail we love to snuggle up next to a fire and roast Marshmallows. Check us out on IG (the_hideaway__nc) and let us know your favorite spot at The Hideaway!!!!
For those visiting in the summer months. We DO NOT have A/C. This is very common in the mountains due to the elevation which offers cooler summers temperatures.

We were very happy with our stay at the Hideaway. Nice quiet spot to enjoy a couple of days in the mountains and all the attractions near by. Very clean and nicely supplied. We will hopefully return at some point.
We enjoyed our stayed at the Hideaway! It was just as pictured and the host/property manager was super helpful and responsive. Easy check in and out! Thanks for a great stay!
The cabin worked out perfectly for us. Loved the central location to both Sugar Mountain (for skiing) and Boone (for the great food). It’s also extremely close to a Dollar General in case you forget anything. Wish I would’ve paid attention in the listing that one room had a full size bed (the other has a queen), but we made it work for our family of four. Having access to a washer and dryer was a win for me. There’s a shared Jack and Jill type bathroom between the two rooms. The porch was an enjoyable place to hang out and loved the plethora of blankets provided. All in all I would definitely return.Only words of advice: Try to arrive when it’s still daylight. There are several steps you have to walk up to get your luggage into the house and when we arrived at night, we definitely felt the presence of some animals watching us.
We stayed her for the weekend for my husband’s birthday. Cozy and clean. The shower has hard water but you just have to let it run for a minute or two. Very close to everything. We went into banner elk, Boone and over to Grandfather mountain. It was not cold enough to ski or snow tube while we were there but it’s close to the slopes. There’s a dollar general across the street if you need anything quick. Great place for a weekend getaway.

Only stayed for one night but the house was in the perfect spot, so clean and cozy it had everything we needed! Was so excited when we walked in and saw a Christmas tree lit up, it made the stay feel extra special and festive:) Would 100% stay at this location the next time we come to the mountains!
The property was just as advertised. The house was clean, really thoughtfully decorated, perfect for a couple’s weekend. Brandi was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We loved everything about it.
We absolutely loved our stay. Everything was clean and cozy! It’s in a great location and the house had everything we needed. The host is uber responsive and great to work with. Will definitely book again:)
The property is modern and clean. Lovely decorations. Location is near several areas to visit so central. Host communicated well and was accommodating. Would recommend and stay again.
My wife and I with two children under two drove up from West Palm Beach, Florida to visit this area of NC and the stay and experience superseded our expectations. The location was central to several attractions we visited, and the cabin was perfect for our small family.
Super clean and well-stocked home with everything you need for a wonderful get-away. The firepit and deck were very relaxing and the decor was updated and well thought out. Highly recommend!
