The lodge is just one block away from the Cumbres & Toltec train and downtown Chama making it a quick easy walk to the train station, shops, and restaurants.

The Encanto has hosted people in many different ways over the years. Most recently the lodge served as a Bed & Breakfast for many years. This is why each individual room has its own amenities and private bathroom. The backyard and back patio gives guests a great place to enjoy the mountain weather we have in Chama. In the dining/living area guests will find many different books that are relevant to the area and its unique history.

The home is as nice as it looks in the photos. It is in a quiet neighborhood in a very small town. Nice and close to our destination of the Cumbres Toltec Railroad. Would recommend without hesitation.

More Than We Expected

We were just two fishing buddies looking for a convenient place to operate out of for several days of fishing in northern MN and southern CO. We were surprised to discover we had the WHOLE inn to ourselves! PLENTY of room; we could easily have had several more people with us. It was roomy, rustic, and very comfortable; more than we were looking for and we suspect we'll be back next season. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
