We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful condo complex, very safe, and relaxing. The views are incredible and hearing the waves every night had us sleeping like babies. Highly recommended.

Lovely time at the beach

Girasol Sur was a lovely destination for snorkeling, beach combing and relaxing by the pool and restaurant. Mary was an excellent host and gave us a wealth of information on getting around and nearby attractions/adventures. Highly recommend Vallarta Adventures zip lining and bring your own snorkel gear for daily swims.

Girasol Sur Puerto Vallarta

We had an awesome stay! We really enjoyed the condo and everything the property had to offer. The condo had to be the best on the property - top floor penthouse - for chilling on the patio in the morning and watching ocean activity (whales, manta rays, sea turtles, fish, etc.) before heading out to the beach. Maria & Nick were great hosts - extremely responsive and wanting to ensure a great visit. We've been coming to PVR for 20 years. This was the best stay yet!!

Host was very communicative. Supplies in the condo were minimal. The couch cushions were dirty and ripped. The cushions on the patio (downstairs) patio had black mold on them. Amenities at the overall property were fine.

HI Linda, I am sorry that these details were a damper on your trip. I wish we had the opportunity to address them as soon you became aware. We verified that the apartment is, as always, supplied with toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies, but welcome any suggestions for additional supplies that you might need. And we are alarmed as you were about the small tears in our fairly new couch, will definitely need to get those mended. Thank you for taking care of our home and we hope you come back to visit us again!

Hi, we are Mary and Nick! We are raising our young family near Lake Chapala, close to Guadalajara. The kids keep us pretty busy these days and at times it certainly is stressful, but in spite of that we strive for tranquility and enjoy good food, good company, and the outdoors. We look forward when they are older (and before we are too old) to returning to the Andes and the Galapagos, hiking the Rockies, and, if we are lucky, island-hopping through Polynesia.

Why they chose this property

Girasol Sur has a loyal following of visitors who return year after year. We became acquainted with the property from family members who have been coming every summer for more than 30 years. Having stayed up and down the coast in small towns and luxury resorts, we finally realized that Girasol Sur has everything we need and desire, especially now with the growing family. Simply put, there is no better combination of location, services, and vibe for our tastes. We hope to someday be some of those 30-year veterans and are excited to share Girasol Sur with anyone else who might appreciate what it has to offer.
