We're so glad you enjoyed your time at Anchors Away and its great location! Thank you for your feedback - we'll be sure to keep a close eye on freshness so future guests have the most comfortable stay possible.
Anchors Away was terrific! Perfect location for shopping. Restaurants, water and boat rentals, and hiking. Our favorite part was the deck off our loving space. Also appreciated the parking space! I will definitely contact Anchors Away for my next stay in Saugatuck! Thank you for the perfect accommodations.
This is the perfect location. Walking distance to everything! Condo is perfect for 2 people and included extras like cooking spices, plastic & reynolds wrap, etc. And thanks for the beautiful weather! We hope to come back for a visit!
The entire town of Saugatuck shut down due to a gas leak the morning we were supposed to stay and the host was amazing at communicating, trying to assist us in finding a new rental and ultimately providing a refund qith out any hassle or issues when there wasnt another option available in neighboring towns. Very impressed with the host.
Thank you for staying with us at Anchors Away! We’re glad you enjoyed the apartment and appreciate your feedback. As noted in the listing, the building is historic and does not have central A/C. The apartment has a window A/C unit in the bedroom during summer months, a fan for the living room, and supplemental heat in the bedroom if needed, while the building heat is kept at 68 degrees in the winter months. We’re always happy to walk guests through the controls or provide extra support during a stay.
The property was very clean and nicely decorated, and the check-in process was super simple. The location is perfect, we were able to walk to all the stores and restaurants in Saugatuck and having a parking space to come back to when we did leave for excursions was ideal. The unit is small, that would be the only concern, but it worked for the stort time we were there.
Hubby, daughter and I went for a 2 night getaway. Location is amazing! All employees we outstanding and helpful. Very cute clean and well equipped unit. The only suggestions we would have is maybe a better mattress on the hide-a-bed.
My husband and I were in the upstairs unit and our kids and grandkids were in the lower unit. Great location and the units were great. Only complaint is no washer and dryer but we knew that going in. Walking distance to everywhere which is nice. You don’t have to load up car seats. Would recommend.
The property was fine but nothing special. Mostly little things. The cleaners had used a strong-smelling disinfectant that would dissipate after being in the space. There ere multiple cobwebs on the balcony. The bed was difficult to lock in place no kept rolling about. The bigger issue was the bathtub. It felt slick and unsafe. There was no handlebar nor slip mat to prevent falls. When we called asking for a bath mat, the man explained that the property did not advertise one. The conversation came across s dismissive. On the papers given at check-in it reads “We always strive to give our guests a 5-star experience. If you feel your stay is not 5-star worthy, please contact us first so we can fix any issues and make your experience enjoyable.” Later the balcony screen door was sticking. Annoying but not unusable. We did not report it though. If Mill Pond Realty didn’t care about a safety concern, they were unlikely to care about an inconvenience

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your stay at Anchors Away. We appreciate your comments, as they help us improve our services. We apologize for any confusion regarding the bath mat. It sounds like there was a misunderstanding between a bath mat and an in-tub shower mat. While we don't typically provide slip mats for the tub, there should have been a bath mat available, and we’re sorry if that was not the case.
Regarding the balcony, all outdoor spaces are cleaned prior to guests' arrival, and the property is regularly treated for pests. However, we understand that cobwebs and bugs can return quickly in outdoor areas, and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused.
We’re also sorry to hear that you felt your concerns were not addressed as thoroughly as they should have been. We strive to provide a 5-star experience for all our guests, and we regret that we fell short during your stay. We will address these issues with our team to ensure a more attentive response in the future. We hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide a better experience on your next visit.
Mill Pond Vacation Rentals looks forward to helping you make the most of your time in town! Please do not hesitate to contact our team with any questions, concerns, or suggestions that you may have. Our office is open seven days a week.
