Beach House Directly Facing Gulf of Mexico

A Beautiful and newly renovated Beach House directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. You'll get beach view from the deck, living room, kitchen/dining and one of the bedrooms.

We purchased this beach house in 2010, and then we had it totally gutted down to the bare concrete walls. This whole house is like new, new walls, new ceiling, new wiring, new plumbing, new heating and cooling. It now has all new hurricane resistant windows and shutters. The whole place is completely updated.

The entire upstairs living area is tiled. Kitchen and baths have granite counter tops. All bathrooms have slate colored tiles, with designer trims, giving them a spa like feeling. Recessed lighting throughout giving the place plenty of ambiance. Living room has all new rattan sofa ,love seat and beautiful beach themed decor, plus a 65 inch HD LCD TV newly installed. Ceiling fans /lights are in every room. All bedrooms have new HD LCD TVs installed and mounted.

Kitchen has all new stainless appliances, including new electric range, new microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. We also have toaster, coffee maker, blender, mixer..... We also have beach themed stoneware, new silverware and kitchen accessories...too many to name. There's also a set of brand new high efficiency stacked washer& dryer.

The front of the house and deck face the Gulf across the street where the sun comes up. And where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view , listen to the waves, and feel the ocean breeze. Bedrooms have their own wrap around deck where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee in the privacy of your own backyard anytime.

The house is decorated like a beach side cottage with wicker/rattan furniture and brightly colored beach theme quilts. Bath linen are color coordinated to give you a feeling like you're in your private spa.
Our completely private backyard is a tropical paradise full of greenery you'll normally find in Hawaii. We have Plumeria trees, Hawaiian Ti plants, Oleanders, Birds of Paradise,and many others. In the middle of it is a huge fiesta table with mermaid picture done with tiles commissioned by a local artist of years past. The table has become a permanent landmark of South Padre Island.
Strictly no smoking, no pets. Owners are very allergic to pets fur. We require verification of identity and age from the person making the reservation. Extra person fees may bapply depending on the season and the property. Under all circumstances no more than 8 persons allowed in this property including visitors. perimeter of the house is equipped with security cameras for your protection.
I hope you'll find that the place is as nice if not better than I described.

Fantastic property

Great property with excellent location and all the amenities you need. So nice to have full kitchen, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Great AC, too, which is nice when you come in from the Texas heat.

Beautiful Beach House!

This is a beautiful beach house with a great courtyard. The house was clean, nice, and comfortable. I loved the location and proximity to the beach. The owners are courteous, respectful, friendly, and pleasant to work with.

Peaceful beach house

We were a bit nervous because we were coming to SPI during spring break and I was worried about crowds and noise. The house was tidy and exactly as advertised. The neighborhood, even in spring break, was quite quiet and we had a restful vacation. The beach by this cottage was not crowded, quiet, and beautiful.

People coming in our rental

Was not happy when the gardener invaded our place we paid good money to rent. Also a lady stopped over and started to head for the locked door when she saw us and stopped, making up an excuse of checking to see if the plants have bloomed in the yard beyond the locked door. We wondered if someone had come into the rental. Was very uncomfortable with this.

Home away from home, vacation haven.

My family and I stayed at this prperty for Spring break, Easter weekend, April 2012. This was probably the best property we have ever rented for a beach house. The property is in immaculate condition, newly renovated with all modern and efficient appliances, it can be considered as your home away from home. Beachfront view was great especially in the mornings and late evenings. Large front deck allowed us to enjoy morning and evening view while dining. Overlooking street view allowed us to never miss the happenings. Enclosed property with large paved backyard, gave our kids the space and freedom they have at home, The restaurant and bar across the street was convenient for eating and hanging within walking distance. Steps to the beach and shops with lots of parking on property. Owner was great with reservation process and very hospitable. Basically this is a great vacation haven and seeing is believing. We will definitely recommend this to friends and relatives and we will be saying here for future vacations at South Padre.

Great location and very spacious

Overall the property exceeded expectations in terms of size and location to the beach. Trash bin was overfull upon arrival which made it difficult to secure our own trash in it with the wind on trash day. The front shower didn’t drain very well. The AC stayed on and blew cold but never seemed to be able to hold a steady comfortable temp even at night. There was a strong odor of fish from the freezer area upon arrival. The property itself was acceptable but for the price and description one would expect a little better deep cleaning, updating, and dusting to be accomplished upon arrival. If professionals are being paid to clean this property they aren’t doing a good job. The location to the beach however couldn’t have been better and helped us cope with the other issues mentioned.

This house was perfect. Right across from the beach access. So close to restaurants and stores, we were able to walk everywhere, only got into our car once the whole time. We only had one car but there was space for 3. The beach is just beautiful!

a rare find on South Padre Island

With so many condos, motels and apartments covering the SPI beach, it's amazing that you get an ENTIRE HOUSE with a beach view and just steps from a lovely piece of SPI beach. Christine was incredibly easy to reach and was so accommodating. There is so much privacy in this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, and the backyard/courtyard is huge! Big patios on both sides of the house made for excellent views of the beachside waves and bayside fireworks (every Tuesday during summer). We loved everything about this place and would definitely book again.

SPI Birthday Get Away

The house was nice and location was perfect. We traveled by air and the owner let us know a few days before our stay that we had to provide our own paper goods and we should bring some from home due to possible shortages in the area. We were expected to take the trash out, which we did, but there were no garbage bags to replace the 1 that was provided. Also, dishwasher was there, but no dishwasher detergent, I have never stayed in a vacation home where paper goods and cleaning supplies were not provided. For the price we paid, the owner should provide these items.

Perfect property for our family

We have been on three beach vacations as a whole family - my 4 kids, husband, and husbands parents and myself. This one was by far the best one we have been on! The property has absolutely everything we needed/wanted. You are literally directly across the street from the beach access. It was SO convenient. We left our towels at the house, went to the beach, came back to the house and used the outside showers to get the sand off and then used our towels there at the house. There was no need to pack up a ton of things for the beach because the house was so close we would just walk back if we needed something. The beach was very clean, so many shells to hunt for the kids. The beach extended so far into the ocean you could walk for a ways before it got deep, another plus for the kids. The island had several other things to do in the evening, we went and rode go karts, took a bay fishing trip, went to turtle inc, and went to several souvenir shops. The back patio has an amazing and large table, but there aren’t any chairs to enjoy that space so bring some chairs because it is seriously an amazing space. The entire “yard” is walled in, with a locked door to come into the yard so our kids enjoyed playing outside and we didn’t have to be right next to them the whole time. The only complaint I would have was that there weren’t very many wash cloths for the bathrooms, we only found 3. And there was no wash cloths/sponges for the kitchen. But that was a VERY minor inconvenience for this amazing property!

Location! Location! Location!

We had the best time! The house was perfect for our group! It had plenty of space, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware you would need to prepare meals. The deck was perfect for watching the sunrise. It is literally right across the street from the beach entrance, making it so easy to just haul your things out to the beach and if you forgot something, well it was just a short walk back to the house to grab it. Christine was quick to respond, even tho had I just looked around a bit more I would have found what I was looking for. 10/10 recommend and will stay again!

Great place. Family loved it!

The place was better than we expected. You can see the beach from here. Cross the street and you are on the beach. My in-laws loved the place. They kept saying how well equipped the kitchen was and what a wonderful place it was. Christine, the host, was very responsive to questions and was an excellent host. I look forward to staying here again at a future visit to South Padre!
