GORGEOUS LAKE MICHIGAN VIEWS AND BEACH

Every room on the main floor has stunning Lake Michigan Views! This idyllic area allows you to enjoy beach life at Lake Michigan and nightly sunsets in this comfortable, spacious and newly updated home. This dream vacation spot awaits and is nestled in the Lost Valley community, located in Montague.

Whether you are seeking a peaceful and relaxing vacation, or something more active, this area has it all. The expansive low bluff beach (with access) is located right across the street. There are two other beach access points as well , where you can enjoy the beach, sand and the waves crashing on the pristine shoreline. The landscape of the Great Lake changes daily, to calm serene waters, to large waves and everything in between. If you enjoy walking on the beach, you can walk for miles. If you love sunsets, they are spectacular!

This clean and freshly sanitized home has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to gather as a group, or places for solitude and recharging. The outdoor deck (with motorized shade awnings) can seat a large group comfortably with new and comfortable chairs and outdoor adjustable dining table. The beds are new and comfortable, as are most of the furnishings. We also provide beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, sand wagon, chaise and beach chairs for your beach experience as well.

The beach is connected to Meinert Park and Flowers Creek Dune Nature Preserve. You can stroll on the shoreline, hike the wooded trails, or splash in Flower Creek.

There are many year round activities nearby (in addition to the beach) for every season. Double JJ Ranch, Michigan Adventures, Happy Mohawk Livery, Golf Course, Disk Golf, horseback riding, fishing off the pier at White Lake channel nearby and much more. Muskegon Sport Complex offers luge opportunities (even in summer), zip line, hiking scavenger hunt and more. This property is 60 minutes from Grand Rapids, 3 hours from Chicago, 40 minutes to Ludington, 2 hours to Sleeping Bear Dunes.

* DOGS are not permitted by renters (HOA rule). You may see dogs in the valley, however it's only because cottage owners are allowed pets. Violation of this rule with result in a fine.
** Property is Non Smoking
** No fires allowed of any kind, in any area (no beach fire, fireplace, fire pit) - we are far away from the Fire Station and dune grass is extremely flamable
** Event Policy - Large Events are not allowed. Ok for family gatherings during the day, however, evening parties and loud music and noise is strictly prohibited past 11pm. (HOA Rules)
** 11:00 pm all external lights will need to be out and noise to minimum
** Please adhere to the strict 10 MPH speed limit in the Valley
** Please only walk on dune trails areas as marked
Your approved reservations is agreeing to the above rules. Violators will be fined and may be asked to leave and forfeit their reservation.


***Please note that summer rentals (June through August) are offered by the week and run Saturday through Saturday. If you need flexibility with days, please reach out.

During the Non-Summer season, we offer more flexibility and nightly stays. This is a YEAR ROUND vacation rental.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the beach house! The home was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. The views were breathtaking from every window. Weekend at Lake Michigan

We were blown away by this perfect beach vacation spot! We enjoyed the views, the beach and exploring the nearby towns. The thoughtful welcome book gave plenty of suggestions of restaurants and things to do. Communication was top notch and the house was very clean! Highly recommend!

The most quiet sandy beach and serene house to enjoy Lake Michigan

We couldn’t get enough of the warm sandy beach minus the normal crowds. A relatively short set of stairs away from the house with a perfect deck to watch the sunsets from. And that’s only if you want to leave the house. The decks and windows make it easy to enjoy the views and sunsets from lots of comfy spots. If you do find yourself inside there is everything you could need provided in the kitchen and bathrooms for a comfortable stay. The linens were really nice and the house has a comfy but classy feeling. We can’t wait to stay again. Great hosts!

Gorgeous fall weekend

My girlfriends and I loved our long weekend getaway at this beautiful lake house. The house was super clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The gathering spaces inside and out were wonderful, and beds were comfy. Views from the house are amazing and we had a great time walking on the beach and in the neighborhood. We all want to come again!

Beautiful Spot on Lake Michigan shore!

Great house! Owners have it very clean and all the amenities you could think of. A short walk across the dune to a beautiful private beach. House is in a nice rural location yet close enough for quick trips if you need/want to go into town. I would recommend this to anyone!

Amazing views and CLEAN! :)

This property was immaculate! Definitely cleanest one by far we have stayed at! Not to mention the breathtaking views and gorgeous sunsets that are steps away across the street. We enjoyed the private beach and my son didn’t want to leave the sand! Wish we could have stayed longer! Will be back for sure! Memorial week!

What a lovely home in an absolutely stunning setting. Easy access to the beach. Hours of beach walking made it very enjoyable. Sunsets are just amazing. The different outdoor seating options with the two retractable awnings made for a comfortable meal and an enjoyable game of cards. All the amenities that you need for a great vacation were provided (e.g. bikes, beach chairs and towels).

Fun and Relaxation

We started our four week vacation at Beachlore (the name we gave the cottage) by being warmly welcomed by the owners. Beachlore is spacious, well-lighted, and comfortable, with easy access to the Lake Michigan beach and the beckoning waters. We found a supply of beach towels, a sufficient number of beach chairs, and an outside shower to make our stay even more enjoyable. Our month of fun and relaxation went by in a flash. Perfect getaway!

This property exceeded our expectations in every way! We truly felt like we were staying in a friend's home, which is not as common in rentals these days. From the amazing decor to the cleanliness to the thoughtful touches throughout, there was a great feeling throughout the space. We appreciated the multiple locations for folks to spread out as well as enough space to congregate together at night. We had morning coffee on the deck and evening walks along the beach, with plenty of fun activities throughout the Muskegon area and western Michigan in general. Comfortable mattresses, plenty of kitchenware, fun beach toys, and books/games definitely helped make our week a success. Our hosts were in touch with us in the time leading up to our trip, and they had a very helpful binder of great info for us while we were there. Such a hidden gem, tucked between fields, forests, and the lake. Will definitely try to stay again!

Anniversary Get Away

Loved, loved, loved this property. Everything was more beautiful than the photos. Immaculate, wonderfully decorated, comfortable and perfect amenities for our stay. Lots of seating options inside and out. All the little special attention to details from the owner so very nice. We felt right at home the moment we walked in. Private and the feeling of being far away from civilization yet only 20mins to a Walmart. Deer comfortably roaming the area...so beautiful. The water and beach within walking distance and gorgeous. Peaceful and serene just sitting on the deck and viewing Lake Michigan. We were in our happy place. A little drive to Muskegon if you want more or just happy being. Neighbors all friendly. Private road meant not alot of traffic. Want to bring my family back so we all can enjoy!

Amazing relaxing getaway.

This beautiful house exceeded our expectations! Loved the views, and the location and proximity to the private beach! I loved waking up in the morning from my kings-sized bed and looking at the water - what a treat to wake up and see Lake Michigan each morning and to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Communication was fantastic and top notch service. Everything looked new and very nice – There was plenty of space to spread out with several gathering spots in the home. Everything was extremely clean. Communication with the owner was excellent and they were great to work with. I appreciate they went the extra mile to make sure our stay the best! I also appreciated the welcome gift with nice note. The decks had plenty of furniture and space for dining and relaxing (and looked brand new) so we could enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. We all had a great time, and can’t wait to come back and stay longer !

Absolutely wonderful - inside and out!

Don't look any farther - this is the house for your group! The minute you walk in, there is a sense of peaceful beauty, both from the house itself (beautifully furnished) and the views of Lake Michigan. We loved the ability to gather as a group in the large great room/kitchen or go off alone or in small groups to one of the many comfy seating areas either inside or on the 3 decks (each facing a different direction). We especially enjoyed morning coffee while watching the changing weather and waves on the lake and also watching gorgeous sunsets from the deck. A short walk takes you to the private subdivision beach where you can enjoy playing on the beach with the many toys and sand wagon available with this rental. We ate most meals at the house with it's well-appointed kitchen, but restaurants and other activities are available a short drive away and are listed in a very helpful guide compiled by the host (Amy). Overall, staying in this house was an excellent experience and we will definitely be back.

A hidden gem

You know when you’re reading a really good book and you never want it to end? This vacation was our book♥️ My mother, sister and our children thoroughly enjoyed every second spent together in this beach cottage. It felt so cozy, just like home. Amy made sure we had everything we needed and communication with her was a breeze. The private beach access is literally steps away across the street from the house. The beach is so beautiful and so private! Not at all packed like Florida beaches and such. Everyone in the small subdivision was so friendly. We enjoyed our walks and bike rides looking at all of the beautiful homes, watching the sunrise and sunset each morning and evening is a must as well! Watching at the beach is magical but enjoying it right on the deck while sipping your coffee is just as magical:) I kept telling my sister, it’s like it’s from a book! The beach cottage, little subdivision, the privacy, the friendliness, and most importantly the beautiful beach! We were not ready to leave and can’t wait to return. Thanks Amy for such a wonderful week!

We fell in love with this area years ago - we feel Lost Valley is an idyllic and quintessential beach community. When I think of "Lost Valley" - I think carefree summer days of childhood.

Lake Michigan! Is there anything better than Lake Michigan! It is so beautiful and love how every day it looks different.. powerful waves one day, calm and serene the next. This ever changing Great Lake shows its beauty daily.
