Thanks Rob! Glad you enjoyed the week and hope you come back again next year.
This is the perfect Maine lake getaway. Great location, beautiful lake and couldn’t be a better spot on the lake for sunsets. The camp itself was spotless when we got there, spacious and had a great camp vibe. It’s a beautifully rural area yet close enough to the amenities of Augusta that it’s convenient. Liz was also very easy to communicate with.
Cozy camp with great view and access to the lake. Huge willows for afternoon shade and a bevy of bird sightings. Comfortable beds with beautiful quilts. Good access to a grill and plenty of kitchen utensils to feel like you're in your own kitchen. Responsive gracious owner.
We enjoyed our stay. The sunsets were stunning and the area was quiet. The lack of AC is usually an issue in Maine but we were unlucky to be up during a hot and humid week. The basement bedroom and family room was still comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The lake and the neighborhood location was quiet, the cabin/camp met our needs, sunsets were gorgeous as were the frequent visits from the loons! Owner was great to work with prior to checking and preparing for departure.
The camp was nice and good location. Wished it would have air conditioning as was extremely hot in the camp. As far as cleanliness the downstairs was full of dog hair and I think the cleaning lady forgot to put sheets on the beds, as were made but no sheets or pillow cases. But a beautiful spot on the lake. The sunsets were awesome.

Sadly the weather is out of our control! There are ceiling fans in 3 bedrooms and lots of fans to move to where you would like them. Also the downstairs usually stays cool - but it was extremely hot.
I apologize for the dog hair. I kindly let the previous renter bring 2 dogs - they made a mess and I will not be able to allow dogs next year.
Usually the beds are made and I’ll make sure they are in the future.
Glad you enjoyed the sunsets!
Nice clean camp! Amazing sunsets! We were afraid to set off the alarm for the holding tank so we went home to shower (luckily we only live in Oakland). The downstairs was a great space but we had to keep emptying the dehumidifier to keep the dampness out. We wish there had been a sandy beach area for easier access to the lake for our granddaughter. And... we had a couple of very hot days and the camp was hot...

Thanks for the review & glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry you were worried about the water so much you didn’t shower. We know guests will shower - just hope they don’t take super long ones.
We appreciate the downstairs stays cool on those hot days or sit outside in our bathing suits under the willow trees for shade.
Everything was clean and welcoming when we arrived. The kitchen and linen closet were well stocked with necessary supplies. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids (under the age of 9). Front porch overlooking Snow Pond was wonderful for morning coffee or evening boardgames. Dock was great for swimming and tying up a boat. Paddle boarding in the cove was a great morning activity that everyone enjoyed. Elizabeth was very responsive with any questions that came up throughout our stay. Will stay here again in the future.
My parents build our ‘camp’ when I was in kindergarten. I luckily inherited it a few years ago. We rent a few weeks each summer to cover some costs. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have all these years!
