The property is located on a quiet street. The view from the deck is beautiful. A nice yard for playing outside games. The inside is roomy, everybody had their own room. Large kitchen table so we were able to do several puzzels and play games. It was a home away from home.
Reservation was canceled 2hours before check in. Full refund was given but that didn’t help when you have to make other arrangements last minute in a busy area. VRBO was NO help. I was told that simultaneous bookings for the same spot happened. But three separate emails about making payments, deposit then payment 2 and 3 did not seem to catch the problem.
The kitchen could use a few cookie sheet type pans. The oven has only one rack which made it a little difficult to cook thanksgiving dinner. When the heat kicked on in the main bedroom, it made a very loud noise. The water pressure was very weak and not quite hot enough.
The home is laid out nicely and is clean and comfortable. The patio was beautiful and the fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows. The view is incredible.
The kitchen, upstairs & downstairs livingrooms, and outside porch gave us great areas to comfortably visit with one another during our time together. The coffee station was an especially nice touch! The driveway area was convenient and more than ample for the four cars in our group coming and going. :)
So, this is pretty embarrassing, but I actually booked this property on the wrong dates and didn't realize it until Joshua contacted me to ask if we were ok since we had not shown up. While I was horrified, he sent me ideas of where to stay for the actual weekend we needed and did his best to help! I would have loved to stay in a property with such a great host, but was impressed!
Loved our stay at this home. We had two little babies (one that crawls and one walker) and it was the prefect space and had the necessities to create a safe environment for them. Lots of toys too! The rooms were great, beds were so so so comfy. We always travel to Lancaster with a large group and this was by far the most accommodating. Responses from the host were so fast and he was very kind. The scenery was beautiful and the breakfast place near by was also really good. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling with a family that needs beds and especially anyone with smaller kids!
This was our first visit to Lancaster county and we highly recommend this place. It's away from the touristy towns and in the middle of farmland. There are amazing views of land that is actively being farmed, a one room school house, and carriages going by the front of the house. You can really get a sense of the rhythm of the lifestyle.
The house itself is very clean and well apportioned. It will sleep a bunch of folks. There's a lot of space in the back yard with a good grill and lots of sitting area. The view from the deck is phenomenal. Internet is fast - I worked from the kitchen for all four days we were there with no problem.
Only concern I would have would be having enough hot water as it did tend to run out with just two people taking.
Overall an outstanding place and I'm recommending it to all my family.
