We only stayed one night, but we loved the property and cabin. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was super clean. We had a very peaceful stay. I will make sure to return with my family.
We booked this property to host our very small wedding. The pictures and space was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't have found a better place to book for such a momentus moment in our lives.
What a special place! You can hardly get any closer to Shenandoah, which was our primary selling point, but the house, property, and creek were all amazing. Probably the best approach on VRBO, with the manicured lawn and rocky creek, and the house emerging in the distance. Quality cookware and appliances were a nice touch, and the hosts were responsive.
We had a wonderful long weekend stay at this beautiful retreat. The property is located in a secluded area yet just a quick drive to the park. The cascading water along the stream was a highlight, and the surroundings so serene. We had everything we needed to cook meals, a huge table for game playing and even a speaker for music. We would highly recommend this property!
Great location and surroundings! Very private. Our kids enjoyed the creek. 10 min access to Skyline drive. Would definitely stay there again, thank you.
Stayed here with our 7 year old nature loving grandson. The property was beautiful, we saw a ton of birds and wildlife, and he had a blast in the swimming hole! Would definitely recommend this amazing home.
Such a wonderful getaway. Quiet except for the running stream. Open floorplan with wide-open windows that let the beauty of the trees refresh you, mind and soul. Great communication from the hosts made it easy to find, check-in, and check-out.
My other half and I decided on a last minute getaway for some much need relaxation. We picked the right spot! No TV, no distractions, just Mother Nature. Our pups loved the creeks and large property to run and play. The host responded quickly to messages and made the experience easy to check in and check out.
Our stay at the Secluded Zen River Retreat was simply magical! Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this peaceful escape provided breathtaking views, soothing river sounds, and an abundance of nature. We loved exploring the walking trails, relaxing by the river, and unwinding on the large deck. The open dining area and cozy wood stove made it feel like home. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone seeking tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!

The views are nice and the river is relaxing. The furnishings are a bit worn and uncomfortable.
Secluded location though a short drive to Shenandoah Natl Park. Fronts on a creek with relaxing sounds of moving water. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great; the furniture downstairs could use an upgrade. Large kitchen area with everything we needed. A nice place to escape for a few days.

The place was absolutely amazing, we loved it.
Directions getting there need improvement, put exact mileage from turnoff road. Add better signage, etc
So much of this trip was ideal. From attentive communication to easy check-in to a gorgeous setting, we appreciated it all. Take care with the driveway as rain has washed some small places away. Slow and steady. Location is ideal for a quick trip to Charlottesville or Shenendoah National Park. The restaurant on nearby Lydia mountain has solid offerings and rockstar patio views. Or go nowhere and settle in. The creek on site offers its own delights. We spotted a blue heron and a ground hog. The property is easily walkable. Wear hiking shoes as it's damp mornings and some evenings and bring that bug spray! We plan to return when we can!
The property and location were convenient. Very relaxing on the deck listening to the running creek. It would be ideal to have screens on windows to allow guests to listen to the calming sound of the water. The biggest issue was the rancid septic/sewer smell in the downstairs bedroom that made it unbearable to use. Th
