My wife and I got into the vacation rental business in late 2019 in Pigeon Forge, TN, right before you-know-what happened. We learned a lot from that time and are still learning. Since '19, we've grown from one cabin to four...two in Pigeon Forge and two in Murphy, NC.
Why they chose this property
We named this cabin Blue Sky because when was being built and still just a cinderblock foundation, we came up to Murphy in the Spring one day and the sky above was a rich, deep blue that you couldn't stop staring at. That always stuck in my head so that's what we decided to name it. And being from Georgia, we love the Allman Brothers, so it just made sense.
What makes this property unique
The neatest thing about this property is that you have long-range views of the Nantahala National Forest without having to climb up high for the viewpoint. That and that it is so quiet and peaceful in the area. It's far enough off of the highway that you don't hear any highway noise, just the sounds of nature around you.
