We are lucky to be surrounded by public land in Fruita. The adventure opportunities are plentiful. We are two miles from the West entrance of Colorado National Monument, which offers a world class road biking adventure and the famous Tour of the Moon road biking event over Colorado National Monument. From your stay, you are a five minute walk to James Robb State Park for a beautiful sunrise or sunset with abundant bird wildlife. You will almost always see a Blue Heron, Bald Eagle or Red Tail Hawk. You are minutes away from the Fruita boat launch on the Colorado River to start your river adventure, whether you plan to SUP to the Loma boat launch or go further into Ruby Horsethief or Westwater Canyons, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re in Fruita to mountain bike, gravel grind or road bike, feel free to store your bike safely under the covered patio in the bike rack. You are within a 5 minute walk to some fantastic restaurants and just minutes away from downtown Fruita. Kokopelli Trails are just up the road five miles from your stay and offer some pretty sublime single track mountain for biking and fantastic trail running and hiking opportunities. 18 Road mountain bike trails are due North and a 20 minute drive from the house.
