This house was a beautiful place to stay in downtown Rapid. The house was easy to find and had great parking for our larger vehicles. Fantastic kitchen with all of the things we needed to cook a meal as well! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter’s wedding in Rapid City. Our stay at The Barney House was very comfortable and was perfect for our family. The outside patio was a relaxing way to end our busy days. There was a slight misunderstanding and Cody handled the situation very well. When visiting RC we will definitely book the Barney house for our family.

We want people to be able to experience the same sense of awe we had when we first visited and would be thrilled to host you and your group of family/friends.

Listed on the national register of historic places, The Barney House has been meticulously restored to add modern conveniences while keeping the original charm of this 1886 Dakota Territory home. From the hand carved staircase to the 4 piece marble en suite bathroom, everyone is sure to enjoy their stay. Sleeps up to 12 adults comfortably. Situated downtown, you'll have quick access to highway 16 and i90 and near proximity to gas, grocery and numerous dining options. Enjoy the fire table and outdoor sectional in the private courtyard while you grill burgers and play cornhole. Family-friendly with a fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar. 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 3 living rooms equipped with a foosball table and board games and two daybeds with trundles.
