About this property

Off-Grid Cabin-Appalachia Glamping-30 Min to AVL-4WD Needed - NO Cleaning Fee!

An ideal "glamping" cabin to connect with nature and experience connected living right between Asheville and Hot Springs. Enjoy an unforgettable retreat in our rustic cabin, tucked into the forest in Western North Carolina with plenty of hiking on the 42-acre property. Comfortably immersed in nature, it's camping...elevated. Perfect for couples and solo getaways.

Secluded from neighbors but still within 30 min. of downtown Asheville, the cabin has an outhouse, outdoor shower, and screened in outdoor kitchen.

Get inspired on the covered back porch with a morning coffee, sunset wine, or a good book in between. A cozy full-size bed with luxury linens and heated mattress cover awaits your slumber. Spring Creek Cabin sits halfway up our property of 42 acres.

There is a hot spot for WiFi access and most cell carriers have coverage at the cabin. Need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive to drive all the way to the cabin.

Whip up a quick meal in the outdoor kitchen with the propane range, running water (no running hot water in kitchen), and fully stocked dishes and pots and pans. You can also grill over the fire pit, bring no-cook picnic fare, or enjoy local eateries a 15 minute drive away.

Hot outdoor shower.

Clean, easy-to-use composting outhouse.

NOTE: This an off-grid camp-like experience with limited solar power and a propane furnace. Appalachia is breathtakingly beautiful and also a rural working landscape which means occasionally you may see or hear activities related to agriculture, forestry, and rural life. You'll need to pack and dress for the weather & bring a sense of adventure! :) We’ll provide our packing guide to make preparations simple.

✧ Wildlife
Be bear aware: Guests should remove food, coolers, and trash
from the cabin area while out for the day and before going to bed. Store these items properly inside or your vehicle. Thanks for helping us keep wildlife safe and your visit enjoyable.

✧ Availability
Available seasonally April - November.

✧ Power
Powered by 600 watts of solar. If power is used up, you must wait for batteries to recharge. We provide oil lamps, candles, and portable USB charger in these rare instances.

4WD OR AWD IS REQUIRED to book. Good idea to bring slip on shoes for outhouse and shower...and ice for cooler (no refrigerator).

Battery Recharge
Honestly I’ve never been camping. I didn’t know what to expect but I loved the idea of being away from other people and just having time with my fiancé. I absolutely loved it; so much I want to make this an annual trip! We had the best time and it was great to get away, unplug, and just be in the moment.

Nestled away from everything
Truly off the grid!! But worth it in a good way! Nothing but nature. Will need 4 wheel drive to get there, no doubt. Great directions provided, and trust me, you’ll need them. Everything was provided that we needed, but just to make sure, don’t forget anything you might need, because you are in the wild! Nice touches like real fresh farm eggs on arrival. We enjoyed this mountain retreat and would recommend it if you have an adventurous spirit. If you’re weak and needy, then this won’t be for you. However, we’ll be back again!
