Location:
Private home located on the banks of the French Broad River. You are app. 7 minutes to downtown Marshall and 15-20 minutes to Weaverville or Mars Hill. You are also app. 35 minutes from downtown Asheville, 45 minutes to the Biltmore Estate, & less than 1 hour to the Asheville Regional Airport. Home is easily accessed via paved and fully maintained roads, right up to the private parking area. 4-wheel drive is NOT required, and property can be easily accessed by any car, motorcycle, truck or RV. The French Broad Cabin is conveniently located right on Little Pine Rd for easy access and the river deck and fire pit are directly across the road from the house on the French Broad River.

The chalet affords year round access, and 4-seasons of enjoyment of the French Broad River and all of WNC. The chalet is situated on 6+ acres just outside of Marshall, NC, affording privacy for everyone to relax & enjoy the feel of the WNC mountains. French Broad Chalet is located on the French Broad River, surrounded by a diverse hardwood forest.

Get ready to be “wowed” by the never-ending views and natural surroundings from this contemporary mountain retreat. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted rooms, and cozy romantic spaces, you will immediately feel at home at French Broad Chalet. That is if you can tear yourself away from the front porch, or private river deck & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains & French Broad River, & actually venture inside!

French Broad Chalet has so much to offer guests; from hiking and walking trails, easy river access for kayaks, canoes, rafts and tubing. You can fly fish in the river or use cast rods from the river deck, and enjoy an occasional train going by across the river and so much more. While at the newly built French Broad Chalet, everyone enjoys all that it has to offer; including the spectacular front porch, where you can pull up a rocking chair and take in the "sound of rushing water", observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard.

You are also just a short drive from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway. Other seasonal activities nearby include motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, horseback riding & ATV (handicap friendly)…just about any outdoor activity!
Or, take a quick ride to downtown Marshall and Weaverville for award winning restaurants and excellent music scene for all ages. The charming town of Hot Springs is only 25 minutes and offers natural theraputic natural hot springs and other spa activities.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Events/Weddings: Small weddings/events are allowed at this property for up to 30 guests**. There would be an additional fee for this that would be determined based on the number of guests that you anticipate hosting. The Event Fee is in addition to normal rental fees.
** - The river deck/platform can only accommodate max. events of 30 guests, with on-site parking. You can host larger weddings & events at other larger Yonder homes/properties, and there are additional accommodations available. Talk with a Yonder Guest Experience Team member for more details.

Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.
