Such a beautiful place! 20 minutes away from the park’s destination, responds to messages really fast. Hot tub and sauna were so good after a long hike. Would definitely stay here again.
The hot tub and sauna were clean and perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. The kitchen was spacious and well-designed, and the pool table was a fun bonus that we really enjoyed.
Convenient access to main areas of Yosemite. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub after a day of hiking. Very peaceful area with lots of natural beauty.
It was the perfect location to visit Yosemite and I love how we never had to leave the park. The house was cute and came with great amenities including a hot tub and a spa.
We had an AMAZING stay! This place is located 15-30 mins from Tunnel View and Yosemite Village. Very conveniently located within the Park gates so we did Tunnel View and Bridalveil Falls Trailhead, Upper Yosemite Falls to Eagle Peak, Mirror Lake Loop, and Mist Trail to Vernal Falls/Nevada Falls… just amazing! We will come back!
Perfect location just 25 minutes to the valley. Easy check in and check out. The cabin is well stocked with everything we needed. Eric was quick to respond with any questions. We loved our stay, we’d be back and recommend this property.
Our family recently stayed at the Storybook Chalet inside Yosemite National Park, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate with snow, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The property is truly a gem, combining comfort, charm, and an unbeatable location right inside Yosemite! The Chalet is beautifully designed and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The cozy wood stove and plush bedding made every night feel like a retreat, and the kids absolutely loved the pool table. We also took full advantage of the sauna and spa—such a treat after a day of exploring (or in our case, cozying up indoors during the rain). We’re already planning our next trip and hoping for some snow next time to fully experience all the area has to offer.Highly recommend it!
This house worked out really well for our family to stay during our trip to Yosemite. Right at 30 minute drive to spots in the valley, so really convenient. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Kitchen supplied well for us to make breakfast and dinner with groceries picked up in El Portal.
Great property, lots of amenities that the host allows you to use. Definitely built for vacation with games, sleds, and creature comforts. Coffee was provided. Plenty warm in the winter. Driveway is steep, but was well cleared when we arrived after a big snow. Plenty of blankets/towels/dishes/cookware.
Place needs a handyman to come on and fix some minor issues. Gutter along entry way deck, faucet in kitchen, faucet in downstairs bathroom tub, toilet valve in upstairs bathroom has a slight leak. Despite these issues everything works and we enjoyed the house. Perfect for our family, plenty of room. We got snowed in for two days and we’re really grateful that the heater works well. No worries of losing power because lines are underground. And of course, the pool table! It saved us from boredom while the snow fell and the wind blew. For skiers, the proximity to badger pass resort can’t be beat. Will definitely consider renting this house again.
Great location, great people we will be back. The cabin was so well stocked that it made the trip very smooth. The kitchen was well stocked so we were even able to make muffins the first night. The next day there was a blizzard that took the electric out of the entire valley, we had enough blankets, there were lanterns, snow shovel and matches. The manager took such good care of us. They checked on us making sure that we had everything we needed. We needed help putting on our chains and they contacted someone that came out to help us. They kept in contact with the rangers to find out when the road would be cleared and kept us updated. Everyone went so far above and beyond. We had a great time it was so beautiful, we could snowshoe right from the cabin door. It could not have been a better weekend!!!
We were overall very happy with our stay. As stated in other reviews a deep clean needs to happen. There was dust and cobwebs in windows and on light fixtures. The tables and countertops were clean. There were only 4 of us in the cabin, so there was plenty of space. Lots of kitchen supplies, dishes & cooking spices. The coffee maker, oven, stovetop & grill worked great. We were happy to not have to buy trash bags, dishwasher detergent & aluminum foil. The nearest full grocery is over an hour or two away, so prepare for that! The market in Yosemite has everything you would need, it just comes with a price!
We didn’t realize how steep the driveway would be. We were in a Nissan Pathfinder and could only back up the personal driveway. Once we made it up to the “landing” of the bottom of the stairs the driveway leveled out.
We were happy to already have been in the park and not enter daily! That in itself provided a lot of flexibility for our trip.
La communication avec Éric et Jessie est fluide.Le chalet dispose de tout ce qui est essentiel pour passer un bon moment en famille / amis. Le sauna et le jacuzzi sont un vrai plus en fin de journée après les randonnées dans le Park.
Excellent property with convenient location. Very clean and well provisioned. Owner was quick to respond to questions. Definitely would stay here again.
Great location! The house was clean, comfortable, and as expected. The interior is a bit dated, but everything was in working order and we enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time here. Location is inside park so you don’t need to make peak time reservations for park entry Property has great view, plenty of room at living areas We had a lot of fun playing pools there. Rooms have everything you need and expect for vacation rental. Best part is communications with host. Eric was super helpful with all information we needed before, during and after our stay. We definitely will come back here for future trips!
