Everything was perfect! All of the little touches make it feel like home as soon as you walk in. The porch is amazing and my go-to spot to relax. We enjoyed fishing on the new dock and watching the baby deer in the yard. This was our 2nd time staying here and we can't wait to come back again!

This was the perfect weekend getaway. Privacy, peace and quite. The cabin was very nice and super clean. I loved sitting on the back porch and fishing off the dock. The host left us some pumpkin, nut muffins that were to die for. I would absolutely recommend this to friends.

Perfect place to get away for my birthday. Spent most of the time on the river but the cabin was a perfect place to relax after a day of adventuring. Loved the windows that gave a beautiful view of the river and having kayaks provided for river use was the icing on the cake! 10/10 would stay here again!

We retired to the New River Valley in 2008 having lived in the southern portion of New Jersey. Kathie was an elementary school principal and Bill ran a small contracting business.

Why they chose this property

Bill and his father built the cabin in 2009. The cabin was designed and furnished with our future guests in mind. Our aim has always been to make our guests' stay relaxing. We make every effort to make Fireflies Cabin your home away from home.

What makes this property unique

The cabin has been designed and located on the property in such a way that you feel like you are far 'away from it all' while being only 5 miles from Interstate 81 and 800 feet off of route 100 (Wysor Highway).Our very own floating dock sits on the river in front of the cabin. It is great for fishing and swimming.
