TRULY BEACHFRONT - 180 Degree Panoramic View of the Beach
Wonderful beachfront condo adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park in Parksville, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, on Georgia Strait (recently renamed the Salish Sea). You will witness the ever-changing natural beauty and wildlife of the West Coast , including migrating blackbrants, eagles and hawks nesting in the surrounding forest, water birds such as herons and egrets, seals surfacing at high tide and early morning/late evening sightings of deer, rabbits and quail.
Sunrise will greet you with warmth and light flooding through large panoramic windows, into the living room, dining room and kitchen. You can be the first to make your tracks across the pristine, rippled sand after the waves have erased yesterday’s creations. Witness the awesome sight of a full moon painting a swath of light on the water and watch it slowly sink into the sea from your window, or even better, go outside and see the brilliance of the star studded night sky, undiminished by the glow of city lights.
Our unit is a haven nestled in a spectacular setting, on the second floor of a beachfront fourplex. Even while relaxing inside, you can enjoy the majesty of nature and life around you. Being outside is exhilarating and a wonderful antidote to the busyness and stress of life. Prepare to unwind, relax and simplify your life.
$200 administration fee for changes and cancellations within cancellation period.
Fines levied for having more than six people in the unit will be deducted from the damage deposit.

The location and view were great! The unit had everything you needed and was close enough to get groceries while being far enough out of town to feel like you were somewhat alone.
Yes..the host was great…the unit was bright and clean. The only thing I found was the beds were quite firm. That’s not really an issue because some people prefer that, I’m aware you can’t please everyone.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be over the holidays! We were able to watch storms, walk in the snow and the sun. Everything you could want was in this lovely home. Can’t wait to come again! Thanks so much Donna for sharing your lovely home!
Just steps to the beach, we walked way, way out when the tide was out, and were amazed at how warm the water was at high tide. We enjoyed the upper balcony, watching the moon come up. Everything you needed was supplied, beds were comfortable. We will be back for sure, thank you!
This second-story condo was perfect for our wishes to enjoy the beachfront of Parksville. It had everything we needed, including a second bedroom for our guests. It’s on the second floor which gave us two balconies, and a wonderful view of the beach and the local wildlife. Highly recommended!
Lovely condo in a quiet neighbourhood overlooking the beach and ocean in Parksville. Close to park, hikes and biking trails. Very clean property and well equipped. It was absolutely beautiful and we will be back. Donna was a super host. Thank you
Our staycation in Parksville was made perfect by staying in this magnificent top floor condo right on the beach. During high tide you could hear the waves crashing onto the shore. Watching families and dogs enjoying their time on the beach was a treat.
The unit had everything we needed. It was clean, cozy and classy.
Thank you for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise.

The condo was as described. Pictures did not do the view justice. We didn’t prepare our meals at the condo, but the kitchen seemed well stocked with everything you would need. We happened to be in Parksville when the atmospheric river hit, so we were not adventurous enough to walk the beach as much as we wanted to, but the view from the front window was amazing! Will certainly return again next year.
You cannot ask for a better location for a getaway! Near shops and the Grotto Spa as well as amazing views and walking trails. Can’t imagine how beautiful it would be in summer but we enjoyed every minute. Thank you!!
We absolutely love Rathtrevor Beach and have been vacationing there for years. This home is fantastic location, however we were disappointed by the hosts inability to change plans 5 months out and ended up having to give our booking away. We booked this home and one other home in October 2021 for a June 25-July 2, 2022 trip to give as a Christmas gift to parents and grandparents. On Jan 24, 2022 (5 months prior to our arrival) I reached out as due to health conditions out family would not be able to travel anymore and we would be coming from Florida so couldn't make it work. The other home refunded our money without questions, however Donna was unwilling to work with us, even though we offered to cover the cost if she would try putting it back on VRBO and no one else rented or even cover any price difference. I run VRBO homes as well and know that you can do this and I am positive the dates would have rented as it was peak week and was fully booked the rest of the summer and still 5 months away. Long story short, we were stuck with the home and ended up giving it away family members who lived closer but I am a little disappointed in the inability to help.
Overall, love the area but BE AWARE that there is ZERO CANCELLATION POLICY!
We loved our stay here, the unit was spotless, well appointed, and right on the beach. The sunrise was stunning, and at low tide we were able to walk out a long way. Will definitely be returning

Why they chose this property
Our retreat is centrally located on the east coast of Vancouver Island and easily accessible to other areas and attractions. It is a two hour drive south to Victoria, with attractions such as Butchart Gardens, the Empress Hotel, Royal B.C. Museum and whale watching tours. Similarly, it is a two hour drive north to the Courtney/Comox Valley and Mt. Washington ski resort.
Day trips to the fishing meccas of Port Alberni and Campbell River are another option. Long Beach/Tofino/Wickaninnish surfing and storm watching are other possibilities, as are trips to outlying islands such as Hornby and Denman.
Friends visiting from the mainland (i.e. Vancouver) can take the Vancouver/Horseshoe Bay ferry to Nanaimo and drive north 25 minutes to Tanglewood. Airplane connections are typically made through Victoria, Nanaimo or Comox/Courtney airports.
What makes this property unique
The location of our condo adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park affords us access to a beautifully forested area with well-maintained trails, a nature house with summer parks programs for the kids, popular camp sites and tubing on the rapids of the Englishman River and estuary.
There are many areas close by where one can go digging for clams and oysters or fishing. We love the quaint markets and local arts and cultural events organized by Parksville/Qualicum, such as the Coombs Market, Parksville Sand Castle Festival, downtown night market and Classic Car Festival.
