Absolutely darling property! Every single room was a new exploration and the creek was just perfect. Everything in the kitchen was so clean and well maintained. This one is truly a gem.
Everything about our stay was PERFECT. The hosts were very accommodating, with lots of little extras around the home. It was decorated nicely for fall. Lots of space for our family to spread out and enjoy. This place just feels like home.
In the area for a family celebration and found this place on VRBO. Loved the potential to stay in an historic property, but with all the amenities. Loved the log cabin vibe, the cows (no smell at all) and watching the ground hogs graze. Rhonda was a great host, made it all so easy.
The host was so helpful and responsive, true hospitality. This is a beautiful home, We had plenty of space to sleep and spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal, and thankfully there were many hands to wash the dishes. The outside space was inviting and easy to spend time in. Even in the rain, it was a great place for a family.
We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! Beautiful and peaceful location, plenty of space inside and outside to relax, comfortable beds and rooms, everything we needed in the kitchen. Hosts were responsive and kind. We'd definitely stay here again sometime.
The house was the perfect size for all 6 people in our party. It was clean and very accommodating, and the host was AWESOME! It was definitely in the perfect location for us to be able to visit all of our family, whom we hadn’t seen in years. We would definitely stay again if we ever decide to come back to visit.
A must place to stay. Everything was easy and welcoming. Our family of three generations enjoyed the time we had together and the beautiful house made it extra special. Many blessings during our stay and I'm sure many more to come!
This was the perfect place for our family to re-connect and unwind. The hosts thought of everything that guests might need. The home and surrounding property were stunning. We all spend ours sitting on the front porch reminiscing. Our family has already booked another stay here, and cannot wait to return!
From the moment we arrived we felt pampered. The hosts thought of everything and then some. The house was decked out for the Christmas holiday with precious decorations tucked here and there. There were plenty of supplies on hand for everyone in our family. The added bonus of hand knitted cloths and beautiful hand crocheted snowflakes were the icing on the cake. We added an extra night just to take in all the house had to offer. What a gem.
We stayed at this property during a three day visit to the area. Rhonda, the owner reached out before the stay and kept open positive communication during the stay. We were happy to spend time in this unique location, home and area. The home is comfortable and so interesting!
Absolutely nothing but great words for this house. Clean, orderly, everything that we needed for our stay was available. Check in was without a hitch. The views were amazing. I only wish we had more time to explore the area. There for a wedding so it was a very busy time.
This property was an incredible find. We loved everything about it, it was everything we were hoping for and more. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Our puppy loved roaming around and visiting the cows. We had everything we needed and then some, with very special and thoughtful touches. The rooms are enormous and the decorating so warm and inviting. Everything was spotless. We have stayed in several older homes but this was the first one that had such good vibes, like it has seen happy times. We thank you so much for sharing your home with us and we would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful property well-maintained, clean And lots of extras. We needed a downstairs bedroom for my mother-in-law.. Host had great communication and was very supportive! We definitely stay there again. It’s so unique.
High school friends gathered at this lovely historic farmhouse for time together. Everything we needed was provided and the super-clean house in a beautiful rural setting was the perfect spot to reminisce and share a delightful time together. The hostess was most accommodating and communication was a breeze. Highly recommended as a “home away from home”
We spent a lovely Easter at this incredible house. The land and views were gorgeous and the house is just so cool and interesting. There were plenty of board games for our group of six and lots of room for everyone, including our dog. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with plenty of dishware, pots/pans, glasses, and utensils.Everything was very clean and cozy. The owner was very responsive to any questions I asked and just a joy to work with...We would definitely love to return!
Incredible setting with a scenic mountian view over looking the farm land! All the conforts from home . Just a short drive to the lake ! The host was more than accommodating and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely stay there again! Thanks Rhonda! Love your home.
We absolutely enjoyed spending the Fourth of July in Rhonda’s lovely home. From the moment we arrived, it was clear she’s the epitome of the perfect host—always friendly, responsive, and ready to help. When I ran into a few hiccups on my end, Rhonda went above and beyond, making the process stress‑free. The property itself is a true gem. We spent time beside the babbling creek, watching cows graze in the pasture and deer wandering through the property. My 13‑year‑old grandson was fascinated by the history of the Inn and couldn’t get enough of the antiques throughout the house and on the property. We truly enjoyed of our stay and can’t wait to return in the fall. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy outstanding hospitality!

We visited Franklin County for a family reunion and were delighted withthis historic VRBO property. It exceeded all our expectations and made our gathering truly special.
The cozy and well-stocked house comfortably accommodated 6 adults, two children, and our dog. It was spotlessly clean, and the spacious living areas were perfect for quality family time.
The real highlight was the incredible countryside views. Waking up to stunning sunrises over the Blue Ridge mountains was a magical experience. The kids had a blast playing in the nearby creek, adding to the fun.
The property's location was ideal, with easy access to Roanoke, Rocky Mount, and Smith Mountain Lake. It allowed us to explore the area and reconnect with our roots, as our family had moved away over the last decade.
In summary, our stay at this historic house was fantastic. It provided a comfortable and cozy base for our family reunion, with incredible views and nearby attractions to enhance our experience.
