well maintained rental at a serene location

Had a great time, staying 3 nights at this vacation home. Mr.Howard was very responsive and helpful. Had a wonderful time with family. The place had the necessary furnishing and the necessities for a family. Would love to stay again!

Parking was plentiful. The condo was immaculate. Cooking breakfast every morning & doing laundry was a breeze with the well-stocked unit. The beach was two minutes out the door and boardwalk - each condo complex has their own access point in the middle. My boys loved having their own beds to sleep in. The unit is on the bottom floor and very quiet - I got plenty of sleep every night I was there!

Weekend Getaway

The condo was exactly how it was listed. It was very comfortable and cozy. We were on the lower floor so you can hear the kids running upstairs but it was not all night. The beach access was so close from condo. I would go back again.

Pajaro Dunes

The community of condo's was lovely with private access to the beach. Our unit was a bit dated in terms of decor and the beds were not comfortable but the location was ideal and we enjoyed our time there.

Superb Location

Steps from an amazing stretch of coastline, sunrises sunsets. Unit accommodated our family of four adults comfortably. Gas fireplace in living area provided a cozy space for cool evening and early morning gatherings. Would return.

Nice getaway on the beach

It was a very nice, well appointed condo with easy beach access. There was a caution about using the oven without a fan but we couldn't locate a fan and were hesitant to turn on the oven as a result. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Cozy, quiet ground level condo with easy access beach

Bright and cozy living room and bedroom with good views, well-stocked kitchen and lovely patio. Some problems with heating in the master bedroom and blinds, including the pull cords, in bedroom and living room. Left front burner did not work. Loved the location and already planning to return. Thank you!

Pajaro Dunes

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and easy to find. A couple of suggestions for the owners. Replace the coffee pot! It takes forever to make. Please provide more than one towel per person. It would have been helpful to have a guestbook giving codes as I had trouble finding it on my phone. Also, how to operate the tv, shopping and entertainment in the area. We had trouble finding a grocery store. The condo is quite a ways off the main road, not really any view except dunes. The access to the beach was close and a beautiful beach. All in all, met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Good Stay

The beach was beautiful. The condo is nicely decorated and furnished; and was clean. The TV and internet was easy to use; and there is a fan for white noise or cooling. Due to the large window glass catching a lot of sun, the afternoons could get a little warm, but cooled as the sun started to drop. If I lived there, I would have an extra floor fan or replace the dining room light with a fan, which would change air flow dynamic significantly (I like to keep rooms cooler than most folks). This is a downstairs unit which my wife liked due to no stairs. The upper units have stairs but have more ocean and beach visibility, although the ocean (not beach) is visible from this unit. Good stay.

Great location but needs an update

Upon walking in, both my husband and I were struck with the stale odor of the place. It was clear from the listing pictures that the furnishings were dated, but the whole unit is in need of significant renovation and decluttering. We found the odor so offensive that we were not able to stay there that evening for fear that our family would become sick and not able to enjoy the rest of our trip. I reached out to the Host that evening and did not hear back until I requested VRBO's assistance. To the host's credit, he did refund 1/2 of our stay.

A wonderful family getaway with my parents and aunt. So enjoyed the beach access, walking along the coast every day and picking up treasures. This was a perfect unit for four of us and worked out so well for those of us with mobility issues. Very comfortable, felt right at home. Very Nice

The property is very nice and location perfect. Bring your own games and entertainment for kids, as it wasn’t very set up for families but the location is worth bringing a few extra games. It was clean and super convenient to the beach. Overall will return!

We have been staying at the Dunes for 5 years now every summer break. This was first time in the Shorebirds side. It was great, condo was very clean. Comfy beds and great spot. Will sure book again next summer if possible. Only one thing I would change (my ocd kicking in) is the trash can needs a lid in the kitchen so maybe a new can. Maintenance and on site staff were very nice and helpful.

Place was very nice, you can just walk over the dunes to reach the beach. Very spacious and not crowded. Beach was clean as well. Definitely vacationing here with the kids again. Very kid friendly.

Awesome relaxation with real human character

We've stayed in a lot of units at Pajaro Dunes. Honestly, they're all amazing - this location is ever stellar. This unit is refreshing for not being one of those sterile IKEA-stocked rental units where everything is blue glass and "beach" written in rope on the walls. There's really intriguing art and a generally really relaxing vibe. I love the mirrors! The use of the electronic lock made check in and check out a lot faster than other PD units - nice!Thanks for an absolutely wonderful stay!

Fabulous stay at the beach

I love Pajaro Dunes! Such a beautiful peaceful place. The beach was beautiful, the condo was nice and well stocked. The check in was easy and we had a great time.

I was born in Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York.My family & I have always loved the ocean & love being near it. We have been enjoying Pajaro Dunes for more than 30 years & have been owners since 1992. We enjoy using our condo and also renting it out to others when we are not able to use it.

We love the peace & quiet of Pajaro Dunes. It's easily accessible to our home in Palo Alto & is just 15 miles south of Santa Cruz & 30 miles north of Monterey. We love walking on the beach & around the property.
