Our host prepared a personal welcome kit for us. It meant a lot, after a long drive. He went above all expectations to make sure we were safe and comfortable. The location on the river made for beautiful sunrise and sunset. All around perfect for our stay.
Everything about our stay was fantastic. The condo has EVERYTHING needed and all types of kitchen gadgets. It even has a sound machine! Very clean and a great view! Will be booking here again for sure!
The property was at a great location. Very close to River and Marina. Short walk to the Yacht Basin restaurants. The cottage was very clean and spacious. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths which was just what we needed. Also has a very nice outside sitting area. Nice place for a weekend stay.
The room was very clean and well stocked with essentials! The hotel was very quiet. My husband & I enjoyed our stay. My only request would be to get nicer and more comfortable seating for the balcony.
Had a good trip, didn’t get to use the pool due to it was always crowded. I didn’t think there was a dock listed in the online listing. If I would have known I would have brought some fishing gear. Having a few grills on the property would be nice for people who want to save some money and grill out. Wished the property was a little closer to downtown with in walking distance, but not a deal breaker. We would definitely consider staying there again.
The hotel & its grounds were well groomed. The office staff were very nice & helpful. The check-in process for this particular room requires a stop @ a local realty company to pick up keys & to return them upon check-out. The river front pool & sitting area was a nice area to relax. Parking, night-time outdoor lighting, & elevators were an added bonus. The room was tastefully decorated & the river view from the room deck was great! The kitchen was well appointed. Routine maintenance needed: A/C unit emitted an offensive odor, bathroom floor grout needs cleaning, & black mold on bottom of shower door needs cleaning. Also consider replacing the pillow-soft mattress with a more moderately firm mattress.
My husband & I recently stayed at this condo for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and the view of from the condo was amazing. The complex was perfect, the little beach area and outdoor seating near the water was an added plus. The condo was set up like an efficiency - full size frig, microwave, a couple stove top burners, coffee pot, and all the kitchen pots/pans, dishes you needed. Our hosts left 2 boxes of goodies for us - one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. The little treats and supplies were perfect (soaps, shampoos, water, popcorn, etc). The bed was very comfortable. The only minor issues: the shower door stuck a bit so opening/closing it was loud. It would also be nice to have blackout shades/curtains. There is an outdoor light on the building that is on all night and quite bright.Overall though it was a perfect place to stay.
Another nice feature is that it is close to the main area of Southport. Although it is a short walk from the complex to the main Southport shopping & restaurant area, we only did that once as there is about .25 mile on a busy section of road with no sidewalk. The drive from the complex to Southport's downtown area was 2 mins. We found ample parking in town and it was easy to park once and wander around.I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Southport, NC.
