Third time staying at Tranquility. Very comfortable and cozy. We really appreciated the beach chairs and coolers. Already looking forward to next time.

We love hearing that you had a great time at Tranquility and that you plan to come back next year.
Blessings on all of your summer adventures.

Our family had a truly wonderful time at Tranquility. The home itself is very quiet, and the secluded, wooded property made for a peaceful and restorative stay even with six adults. Its location made it easy to visit any Midcoast destination - beaches, hiking, coastal towns, boating and great food are all within a few minutes to a couple of hours. The included state park pass is a great perk. Tom was friendly and responsive from our initial request through our departure. We highly recommend the home and won't hesitate to return here next time we travel to the area.
This property was amazing.
The house was beautiful

Thank you for your kind words. Our ongoing aim is to create a beautiful home that radiates hospitality. We hope you will return again to be our guests.
The house and the owners were great. They checked in frequently to see that we had everything we needed. Georgetown is a lovely little town that isn’t full of the tourists trap shops that you might find in Wells or Old Orchard Beach. Five Island has a great local seafood joint, you can also rent kayaks at the general store. Reed State Park is right down the road which has a lovely beach. I highly recommend the house and the location.
We had a great time at Tranquility. It lives up to its name. Nestled in the woods, it was nice and quiet as we were an active family of 7. We had a great memorable time. The location in Georgetown was great. Had great amenities. Wonderful spacious and open kitchen. Enjoyed the grill. Beds were comfortable. We took advantage of the state park pass that was provided and had a great time at Reid State Park. Our family had a great time and had wonderful memories of our first trip to Maine. Looking forward to coming back sometime!
This was our 5th summer staying at tranquility house and every year has been great weather and Reid state park is awesome. There are 2 things I wish would happen at this property and they are being…1) air conditioning…it was unbearable in the house coming back from a long hot day at the beach and entering a house hotter inside than outside…it would be awesome if guests could come back to a nice cool house. The mosquitos were the worst I’ve ever seen at this property also so we had to stay in a lot but with it being so hot in the house we just were miserable sweating so much…2) it would be nice if there were small 32 or 40 inch Roku or some type of tvs in all the rooms that could be set up with streaming apps. When we stay it’s usually 7 adults and 4 kids and only 1 tv in the living room isn’t the most ideal because not everyone likes to watch the same shows and the kids like their stuff too after a Long Beach day and everyone just wants to lay in bed and relax watching their night time shows. We love the property, the secluding area, the short distance to Reid and Popham beaches. We have a great time every time we go here but this year was bad so I hope you take consideration in what I said about putting in a few window air conditioners and the tvs for next year.We hope to do 2 weeks next year (1 week just isn’t long enough) we just have to reserve earlier in the year.Thank you Tom for such wonderful memories our family makes every year we stay at tranquility house.
Enjoyed staying in Georgetown, going to Reid State Park, Popham Beach (my favorite beach) and eating the excellent seafood at Five Island Lobster Company. It was awesome that the park pass was provided with the house rental. I liked the area although the location was a little too remote for my daughter.
This was our 2nd stay here, we stayed last summer also. We love the house, the yard, the entire atmosphere is awesome. The 4 bedrooms are perfect for our family and the kitchen is the perfect size to do everything we need to do.
We only wish the access to more water was better as you can run out pretty quickly if you have a lot of people wanting to shower after a day at the beach.
The state park pass is awesome so you can go to Reid or Popham and just show them the hockey stick which they all get a good chuckle over.
There’s not really any quick grocery stores close so I suggest stopping at Walmart in Brunswick or shaws before you head to the house. We grab enough food for the week before we even get to the house so we can just concentrate on unpacking and head to the beach everyday.
I wish there were TVs in all the bedrooms for the kids/adults if they just want to watch their favorite programs at night or on rainy days. We bring a couple small smart TVs that have the kids channels on them.
We will be returning next summer for a 3rd time cuz we just love it here and we just work with the water situation.
Ann is awesome when you need anything and Tim is the nicest guy when something needs fixing.
Can’t wait for next year!!!
Roomy, comfortable home with all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. The park pass provided with the house was a very nice added bonus. Enjoyed out stay tremendously and highly recommend this home.
This home was the most well appointed home I’ve every booked through VRBO, it had everything we needed. I usually pack the basics and after I arrived, I walked through the home and put all my things back in my car as Tranquillity was so well stocked. I thought the lack of AC was going to be a problem but the ceiling fans were amazing and kept us very comfortable. The beach pass to Reid State Park was used almost every day - we visited Pomham beach which was great but it was a bit further away. The only comment I have is that this home would benefit from a second bathroom. I otherwise just loved the house and I would like to rent again in the future! Tom was super accommodating as was his housekeeper. Very enjoyable week off!
One of the few properties available in winter, this was an excellent place to stay while visiting relatives who live nearby.
Tranquility had just the right amount of space for the 5 adults who were staying there. It is secluded in the woods, very quiet and set back from the road, but not too far. Due to the snow and ice we had, the owner took care of having the drive plowed and sanded, so getting up the drive was no problem.
The house is very basic itself, but the kitchen was well equipped to make any kind of meal. The cherry cabinets and warm woodwork throughout the house added to the charm of the house.
One piece of advice to anyone who has not been to the area, is to stop in Bath first to load up on groceries as there are no fully stocked stores in Georgetown in the winter. (In the summer and early fall months, there is Five Islands Farm, just down the road on the way to the wharf. (Five Islands Farm provides everything you'd need for great meals, including local fresh produce, artisan cheese, sausage and great wines and beer.)
One word of warning, is that when you first enter the house, there is a strong musty oder, but that quickly dissipated. It may have been due to the house not being used for awhile, since we came in late December.
The only other "annoyance" was a lack of table lamps since all of us like to sit and read and dislike having ceiling lights on.
All in all, Tranquility was a great place to stay. Tom, the owner was very responsive and took care of any questions we had.
We would stay here again and would highly recommend it.
Our third stay at Tranquility was as perfect as our first.
The proximity to Reid State Park makes the location ideal and the amenities at the house are outstanding: privacy, gorgeous kitchen, comfy couches and sat TV.
Thank you Thomas for providing this home for us to enjoy.
Wonderful home. Clean, neat, very nicely finished. Great location. Lots of room. Everything we needed to feel right at home. Really appreciated the park pass to enjoy Reid State Park and Popham Beach. (And the ranger at the gate had a good chuckle over the hockey stick presentation!). I could happily move to this place tomorrow. Highly recommended. We’ll be back!
This property was amazing.... super close to the beach was in the middle of the woods so we felt like it was just us, there was more than enough room for everyone and the kids had a blast! Would definitely book again!

Very quiet, private, and secluded setting. Great place for R&R. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Scenic route from downtown Bath. Supermarket and shops nearby. Good location for taking day trips to all of the nearby peninsulas, state parks, and attractions. Home was very clean. Owner was highly responsive, friendly, and available.

Thank you for your feedback and kindness. We trust that Midcoast Maine was a great place to make memories. I'm glad Tranquility met your lodging needs.
We hope to host you again when you return to the area.
Peace,
Tom
Secluded property with no visible neighbors. All 4 bedrooms were a good size, and the shower is huge with 2 shower heads. Internet and data was pretty good, but cell service almost anywhere in Georgetown was spotty. Reid state park is about 5 miles away, but it’s a quick and easy drive. If you’re looking for a combination of woods and beach, it’s a good place to stay.

Thanks for being our guest. I hope you return again. Reid state park is a big park with lots to explore and discover. May the rest of your summer unfold with joy and blessings.
Peace,

This was my second time staying in Tranquility and it was just as wonderful. I stayed here with my wife and three kids. We love Reid State Park and this house is only minutes away. The house is well kept and pristine. Every part of the house has been well kept and being a contractor myself for over 10 years you can tell right away the owner cares about this house. It makes all the difference in the world when staying in a place that is well cared for. The house comes with a pass for the parks which is a time saving and a huge perk. Everything you need is right at the house. Everything is modern up to date and all at a very affordable rate. You would be hard pressed to find a comparable deal! Thanks Tom for another wonderful vacation!
Property was perfect for us. Beds were comfortable, well kept house, will stay again.

Tranquility is a a very comfortable vacation home with all the amenities you need for a relaxing Maine experience.
We fell in love with Reid State Park as it is more than just a beach and offers salt marshes and interesting rock formations. It's only minutes from the house.
The owner is very responsive and kindly installed Directv for us, which we enjoyed in the evenings and for morning weather forecasts.

An amazing home for the price. Everyone was very responsive with any questions. the kids had a great time too. Lots to do around there. 4 bedrooms, WiFi, DVD player, state park pass, suggestions for day trips. We couldn’t have possibly seen all that the area has to offer in just one trip. We definitely recommend it!
