About this property

Gorgeous Water Front Home -- Sand, Sunsets & Fun!

This BayFront home is the perfect vacation destination. Located 10 miles North of Traverse City our southerly facing property sits on 250' feet of beachfront and 140 acres of private woodlands.

This 2 story Craftsman Style Home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. There is real maple flooring throughout the downstairs along with custom stone work flooring and a well appointed kitchen.

The Home has plenty of windows and lots of breeze off the water. All beds have 'down filled pillow top' covers, cotton blankets and throws. 300 count, cotton sheets throughout. A well appointed separate laundry area is located downstairs. Plenty of high quality cotton linens and towels as well. Clean carpets cover all rooms on the second floor.

In the main house, the second story Master has its own bathroom, gas fire place and skylight over the shower. Toddlers can be kept close to Mom and Dad in this spacious room (a pack n play or a roll away bed easily fits in here).

A short stroll, down a private hall, and you arrive at the other two bedrooms. Bedroom one (1) faces the lake and has its own walkout balcony. Two new twin beds are situated on either side of the room with lots of windows and breeze in the summer -- on a windy night you will fall asleep listening to the waves breaking on the beach.

Bedroom two (2) is immediately across the hall and it has two cozy twin beds, which are built into the wall 'Craftsman Style.' This room has a large window that faces the woods. A perfect spot for young children or teenagers after a long day at the beach.

The downstairs has lots of windows, comfortable furniture and reading nooks. A new plasma TV and plenty of warm lighting compliment the living areas.

We have lots of board games and a ping pong table (always set up and waiting in the garage). Get ready for some family fun!

Girl's Trip 2023
This was an awesome property for our girl's trip. We loved the beach and close proximity to our favorite wineries and golf courses. The home was spacious and clean. We enjoyed a fire each evening and had a blast playing ping pong. Kelly the property manager was so kind and helpful. We are excited to return!

Truly “Up North”
This home is charming, and the property is stunning. We had a 3 and 1 year old with us, and the easy access to the gorgeous private beach was amazing. The home itself is very accommodating for lots of sleepers and has a great cabin feel. The hosts are incredible and we’re very communicative and accommodating to some unique requests. We recommend this home to anyone with little kids and really hope to come back next year!

Excellent Family Getaway
As soon as we arrived Kelly was there to greet us and get us all set up. She was especially kind and helpful! Our party consisted of 4 adults (parents and grandparents) and 2 children (boys 8 & 11). The home was perfect for us! Incredibly clean, lots of towels, plenty of space and a fabulous beach! I was worried when I booked that crossing the street would be an issue as far as safety and inconvenience. I was so wrong. Very minimal traffic not an issue at all as far as safety for my kids and the distance from the house to the beach was a 30 second walk - very doable when you need drink refill :) We were shocked how far we could venture out into the water before it even hit our waists. The boys LOVED it!!!! Nice sandy bottom, crystal clear water- what more could you ask for?!? The fire pit was the cherry on top. Many nights of smores, wine and cheese, and storytelling with lots of laughter! My husband was angry with me that I booked a home with no air conditioning but he even said that it was never a problem during our stay. They have lots of fans and the windows allow for a wonderful breeze. I still brought a few fans of my own to be safe (and keep my husband happy) but I really didn't need to. My boys spent so much time building sandcastles, playing in the water, snorkeling, riding their bikes and exploring that it left no time for electronics (if you have kids you understand how wonderful it is to get them off their devices) which made my heart sing!!!! Thank you so much for an absolutely unforgettable summer vacation!

Best beach ever
The house is big and had plenty of room for us. No AC upstairs, but it was only hot 1 night. If you're tall watch out walking around, I hit my head a few times pretty hard on some low ceilings. The location of this house facing south toward Traverse City is maybe the best location on with peninsula. The lake is incredibly shallow here and you can walk out hundreds of feet. The wind was lower here then elsewhere too. Kelly manages the property and lives right next door and is very helpful.

Perfect Beach!
This property was a great rental for a week enjoying the beauty of Michigan. The beach, just across the street, is perfect with lots of provided seating and shallow entry to the water. The house is well maintained and the owners are very responsive.

About the host

Our Family has lived on Grand Traverse Bay since the 1960's. My sister and I grew up playing on the beach and running through the woods with our friends.

Kelly lives close by (to help out during your visit) and I live in Seattle with my wife and two young children. We love to come 'home' to Lee Point Road, whenever we can.

Why they chose this property

This Family Estate is continuing on to its 3rd generation of ownership.

What makes this property unique

Lee Point is a quiet street off M22 within a 5 minute drive of Suttons Bay. Many local restaurants dot the Leelanua Pennisula along with Wineries, Craft Brewers and Quaint Shops.

The Cherry Festival is a busy summer event, that kicks off in July. Beyond that there are plenty of local parades, art shows and festivals happening in Traverse City all summer long.
