Our family spent an extended stay here. We actually rented the house from April 2013 to July 2015 during a transition phase before buying a home in Canmore.
This well-cared-for house has everything a family needs for enjoying Canmore, Banff and beyond. It is well laid-out for family gatherings, has great laundry machines, is comfortable and spacious, the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, the views are fantastic, the attached garage is convenient for storage of a vehicle and/or bikes, skis and other mountain toys. Parking is at a premium in Canmore and this house has space for two vehicles in the driveway in addition to the garage.
The home's quiet, residential location is convenient to all the biking & hiking trails on that side of the valley plus it is walking distance to many useful places including: a popular restaurant known for its amazing views, a well-stocked corner store & bakery, a locals'-favorite breakfast & lunch bistro, a great new pizza place, a liquor store, a specialty wine shop, and a gourmet chocolate shop. For kids it is a very easy walk along a wooded trail to the nearby soccer field and playground (with hills perfect for winter tobbogganing and year-round spectacular views). The elementary school playground is just down the hill and offers another great option for kids (and, again, breathtaking views).
All this, and it is convenient to all the amemities of downtown Canmore, with easy access to Banff; and the owners are helpful, reasonable, and generous in sharing their mountain home.
