Great walkabilty and beach vibe
I brought my dog to the beach, and we had a great time! It's about a 90-second walk to the beach, where dogs are allowed (leashed). Of course, there's always THAT guy or gal who yells "don't worry, he's friendly!" Overall, most folks are friendly and my dog loved the beach. We also walked to the Marina Park, about a mile away. And there's a bar, restaurants, and a froyo shop within a 5 min walk. The Walmart is a quick drive, and they have grocery pick up so you don't have to go in.
The little apartment was perfect for one. It may have been okay for a couple, but it was a smaller space. The kitchen had almost everything I needed. Great water pressure in the shower. Room-darkening curtains help in the bedroom. The ceiling fans helped keep it cool during the day.
The only drawback was when people arrived to occupy upstairs. There's no sound barrier between the two spaces. I saw them arrive and, they were normal sized. But to hear them walk above me, it was like a herd of zebras arrived. I could hear mumbled conversation, but not distinct words. The floor joists need to be reinforced and an added sound-absorbing pad would help tremendously.
Overall, I enjoyed myself and would consider this property again on my next trip to Ventura.
