Nice quiet place to stay for our adventures. One of the two HVAC units went out and the owner got us a supplemental heater right away to ensure our comfort.

Love this cozy cabin for family members!

My adult Children and little grandchildren stayed in this cabin and they loved it very much! They said it was very enjoyable and said their hostess was so kind and attentive when they asked her a question she helped them right away! They enjoyed letting their little ones play around the big tree and was very comfortable in the neat cozy little cabin!

Absolutely beautiful

This was our 2nd time at Big tree little cabin. We love the cabin, it is very peaceful and very clean. Thank you for hosting us. It was a wonderful getaway from the city. We will definitely be back.

Lake of Egypt

Welcoming, loved the firepit and the beautiful tulip tree. Comfortable with everything we needed, suggest putting stickers on the bottom of the shower, it can be slippery. Thank you for hosting us. We had a very relaxing getaway, we will definitely recommend you! Mary Barbeau

Very clean except front porch/entrance. Refrigerator and bed were too small and bed was very uncomfortable and saggy. Told rental company about our complaints and nothing was talked about after our concerns. Didn’t get good rest because of the worn out mattress.

Clean and cozy

My parents live on the lake but we like to have our own space when we visit. My husband and I have rented a few different places throughout the years. Big Tree Little Cabin has been our favorite so far! The property is spacious and the big tree is amazing. The cabin is very cozy and clean. There were plenty of towels, linens, and supplies to make our stay simple. Check in and out was very straightforward and easy. Hopefully this property will be available when we plan to visit again!

Convenient location comfortable living space

The cabin was nice and very conveniently located for my stay. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Lake Egypt/Marion Illinois area for a short stay.

Small Cabin but luxurious

After a long drive, it was especially nice to get to this small awesome cabin. We were pleasantly surprised with the luxuriousness on the inside. We stayed one night and it was perfect!

Always Perfect

This cabin is the absolute best. It is so clean and beautiful. It is well stocked and in a great location. The outdoor space is great for a fire and the kitchen is great for cooking while on your adventure. I highly recommend this place! We’ve stayed there twice now and intend to make it a yearly thing!

Wonderful little cabin

This property was very clean and homey. Our children loved the loft area. When we pulled up, there was a cute little family of deer. I would recommend staying here to any one.

Lovely cabin

We enjoyed our weekend at the little cabin with the big tree! Definitely off the beaten track, but a perfect quiet weekend. Everything about the cabin was perfect.

Our favorite weekend place

Great place, clean and “home feeling”. We love going to this cabin. We haven’t even arrived yet and my wife is asking when we’re returning. The kids enjoyed the swing and giant tree out in the back. With the addition of the benches, firepit and barbeque station, there’s more stuff to do. We had one great night for s’mores, dinner by the firepit, and campfire stories. Memories our children would remember for the rest of their lives!!! Haven’t made reservations yet but we’ll be back for sure. AGAIN. High recommended. I hate to recommend. We want the place to ourselves!!!
