Such a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and spacious, and in a great location close to trials and the little town of Saluda. The hosts are extremely responsive and helpful. The inside space is open giving the perfect amount of room for your pups if you are traveling with them and they even have some large dog bowls and designated pet towels if you need them.
Esther and Wayne are amazing hosts! We had rented another house ( that was horrible) . As soon as I contacted Esther she texted me right back. The house is close to downtown Saluda. We will definitely be back!
This bardominium is AMAAAAAAAAAZING! We were insanely surprised with how incredible it was- especially for the cost! The location is so close to many trailheads! The beds are beyond comfy! It was SO clean! The kitchen is IMMENSELY stocked! And the host was the most friendly! Even supplied us with farm fresh eggs and mix for cookies and pancakes! My biggest regret is not booking for longer AND make sure you head out the back door in the morning for coffee- it is BEAUTIFUL! I cannot, cannot, cannot WAIT to rebook and come back many times in the future!
We spent our anniversary here and had a wonderful time! First time in Saluda and we loved it. The house was probably one of, if not, the cleanest we've ever stayed in, not a cobweb or dust bunny in sight. Stocked with everything you need and even a few bonuses, pancake mix, cookie mix and fresh eggs. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the peanut butter cookies. Water pressure in the shower was good and stayed hot. Big comfy towels and the "good" toilet paper...lol. Bed firm but comfortable. The house is right next to a main road but traffic wasn't too bad, just keep a close eye on your dogs if you bring them. Esther definitely makes sure your dogs feel at home too. This house does share a driveway with another house and turning around could be challenging if you have a big vehicle but the houses are far enough apart to have privacy. Easiest check out procedures ever and will definitely consider staying again when I the area. Thank you again for a lovely anniversary weekend.
This was a spur of the moment trip with our family of 5 (3 teens) and our 2 dogs. The place was perfect for us and the dogs. It has such a great vibe and was very clean. It is less than 1/2 mile from an amazing trailhead to waterfalls. It is also close to town and restaurants. We will recommend this to anyone that wants to go to Saluda!!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for being such great guests. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Come back anytime. Change of colors on Holbert is stupendous 😍.
We LOVE LOVE LOVED our time on this property❤️❤️
We were able to stay in both spots on the property and they were both perfect for us!
The purpose of our trip was an escape from the Fourth of July firework noise for our pup. It was silent and so beautiful. We had fireflies⭐️
We are booking for next year too!!
❤️❤️
Thank you thank you thank you
While maybe not exactly what I was expecting, this little barn house stay was great for our family holiday travel (with our dogs) to such a beautiful area. Very country cute. Remote. Had all amenities. Very thoughtful hosts. Quick and attentive support. Only suggestion, given closeness to road would have been nice to have a small fenced area outside for dogs.Still, a great little stay.

About the host
Hosted by Esther Albert
We are pretty relaxed. We enjoy sharing our home and meeting new guests. Our background is in outdoor recreation. This region does not disappoint.
Why they chose this property
The most traffic is locals driving through and visitors to the falls. This is a rural area. A short drive and you can see the farms nearby. If hiking is your thing, plan a longer stay. There are so many options.
What makes this property unique
The building, the woods, the history, close proximity to everything but still away from most things. You don't feel lost here.
