Cute house in a quiet neighborhood

Check-in was easy. It was a nice place to stay for a week and spend some time with local family. The backyard is perfect for relaxing (great patio area!). And it's centrally located to the hearts of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge -- everything is within a 20 minute drive. A couple of negatives to consider: the stairs down to the basement are slippery (i slipped on the 4th from the bottom, caught myself and slipped again on the 2nd from the bottom. Arm caught on the banister and the slip+fall resulted in a strained elbow and shoulder, and a bruise that's still very painful and healing a week later). One of the drawers in the kitchen is broken as well, which was a pain anytime we needed to grab utensils or cutting boards. Owners were responsive, though we rarely reached out since we were so busy all week.

Decent property, no service!!

It's a very nice townhouse, but the host isn't present and there is no local contact to take care of any issues we had. Property did not seem to be cleaned much, if at all, before we came. Had to strip beds of linen and wash ourselves because they were obviously soiled. Was food in the refrigerator from the previous tenant we presume. All the outlets in the upstairs bedrooms did not work, so couldn't charge phones, use TVs, or computer area. The kitchen is very under-stocked. Had to go purchased several things for basic cooking. Half of the stove top did not work also. When host was contacted about issues, he advised he was out of the country and would not be able to attend to anything at the present time. Simply unacceptable for someone renting on these type of sites. He also asked us to dispose of our garbage in a neighboring business's dumpster, which we ignored because it would be illegal. Definitely would not recommend!
