Snow Trip

Quaint home with backyard space and apparatus to enjoy the snow-walking distance to restaurants and stores. Home accommodations full. Heater effective in warming the home rather quickly.

Cozy cabin

Cabin was great for just the two of us. Nice stocked kitchen and open, comfortable living room. Easy walk to restaurants in Wrightwood. Stairs to the bedroom are quite steep, but master bedroom is comfortable and quiet.

We would have rated the cabin higher if it wasn't for the frustration of the 1st full day. We had problems withe the furnace shutting off and not maintaining temperature.After contacting the host (several times) ,we were told to set the thermostat at 80-something that the cabin manual said not to do,worked fine afterwards.We tried to use the fire pit but it was out of propane.The response was that it hadn't been used in a while,no further action was taken. If you are not a fan of tall ,steep and narrow stairs I would not recommend this cabin.Otherwise the cabin was clean and well laid out and everything inside worked.There were several bear/trash warning signs,however when we arrived the trash can was open with trash inside and during our stay we could not open the recycle bin (latch malfunction),we informed the host.The Cabin manual needs to be updated and it would have been nice if the host had come by to answer any questions or better explain things,she was easy to contact by phone and tried to help.This was our first time using this kind of rental and we were not sure what to expect,but overall we had a great time
