My wife and I have driven all over the Cape. We have yet to find anywhere that comes close to the serenity, convenience, comfort, and beauty of this property.Brian is an exceptional host and makes everything easy, including helping us out with a delivery mix-up before our stay.We booked this stay two years in advance, just to make sure we didn’t miss the chance to experience this wonderful place again. Our favorite spot, for 1000 reasons.
We had a great time during our week long stay! The home was in a beautiful and quiet location and was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the new amenities, such as a recently updated master bathroom. We would very much enjoy visiting this property again!
Great property and very charming cottage. The golden hour is pretty magical on the back deck. I love when a house had modern touches, but maintains some of the old aesthetic. The owners did a great job of balancing both.
We had a wonderful time! Such a great place to recharge the batteries. The location was outstanding. It was maybe a 15 minute walk to the beach from the rental and a 5 minute walk to the beach from the parking lot. The bedrooms were very comfy, the bathroom was spacious, the kitchen appliances were very high quality. It was a lovely space!
My family vacationed in July at this peaceful Cape Cottage for 2 weeks. We enjoyed the cozy peaceful vibes and beautiful natural setting. Very private. The private association boardwalk down the road -to the ocean beach (nauset) was a special treat. You have the national sea shore almost to yourself out there.
We all enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood & peaceful views all around. Well equipped kitchen. Relaxed vibe. Easy access to beach either by foot or car. Fun outdoor shower (in addition to the inside one) helped get rid of the sand and salt water. Owners were easily accessible and very responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
A perfect sanctuary. Very clean and well stocked with all the essentials and extras. Yoga mat and beach towels were a nice added touch. Plenty of cookware for making full meals. Location is ideal especially for exploring the lower Cape. Nauset Beach is amazing! The boardwalk to the beach through the marsh land is magical and beautiful. Thanks for providing this opportunity to stay in your place
We had a great stay at this cottage. The private community beach was amazing! Looking north, you can see the seriously over crowded public beach and realize just how good you have it on the private beach. We enjoyed eating meals on the deck and watching the wildlife, (turkeys, fox, deer and many birds). Many seals spotted at the beach too! AC in the cabin works almost too good, we were cold every time it kicked on and ended up adjusting the thermostat higher than we normally would. The downstairs bathroom was huge and we greatly enjoyed the spacious shower with large showerhead. On site full size laundry machines were a big plus for us, as we were able to pack less clothes. The neighborhood has very lightly traveled gravel roads with 10mph speed limit. We felt safe letting our 8 year old ride his bike around a limited area near the house.
Our family of 3 very much enjoyed our week-long stay at this beautifully designed and exceptionally clean and cozy home. We loved the unique and thoughtful touches through the house — yoga mats, candles, twinkle lights, etc. The property was just as the title suggests - a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed quiet relaxation with beautiful marsh views and the gentle tones of a wind chime. There was also an expansive wrap around deck for outdoor dining, sunbathing, and stargazing. We also loved walking 10-15 minutes to a private section of the expansive Nauset Beach just for the neighborhood. In the home, we were provided with plenty of bath and beach towels, as well as bar soap, shampoo/conditioner, floss, Q-tips etc. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the supplies one might need, including plenty of teas and complimentary coffee for the Keurig. The house had three bedrooms, one of which was a cute lofted bedroom (though no door for complete privacy). The beds and pillows were all spacious and comfortable. Overall, highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.
Unique property, away from any road noises or neighbors.
We 3 adults stayed a week, cooking for ourselves daily. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided, and there's an easy-to-use grill on the deck, too. You bring the food, of course. But there were spices, oil, syrup, paper towels, wraps and storage bags/containers. Well done!
We didn't like the walk to the beach BUT when we did the short drive to the beach, several times, the view on that path and bridge is amazing; one of our favorites on the cape. The oceanside beach is a great one for watching crashing waves or sitting/playing in soft sand. [Beach was further than I expected from free parking lot.]
3 things you want to know:
1] Owner is super responsive and helpful in every way.
2] Everything you need is there: soaps, tissues, trash bags, closet space, extra towels.
3] The A/C, all appliances, plumbing and internet streaming work VERY well. Laundry machines look new.
The oddities- and all rentals have some-- are the louvred doors on each room, which I understand keep the air circulating and [together with the a/c or dehumidifier] make sure there is no mildew or odor from all the seaside humidity. So, sound travels from room to room. Not great for us, because we had one bagpipe player among us!
The other peculiarity was dim lighting in the kitchen.
All bedrooms require climbing stairs, just fyi.
Overall it's a totally wonderful home away from home.
We had a great week!
Great location and home. Not your typical rental -- very chic vibe with a great deck and view. Felt like a home, not a rental. Pictures are accurate and the small things also helped -- linens provided, puzzles, coffee/filters, beach chairs, many books, detergent, coolers, etc..
