Imagine yourself relaxing with a refreshing beverage on your private patio - just steps from the beautifully landscaped courtyard pool and hot tub. Las Verandas is a smaller, quiet, gated complex located just off Padre Blvd with only 21 condos, providing an exclusive feel. When you leave the quiet of this gated complex, you are still only about 1 block from the beach!

Decorated in a contemporary style with just the right splash of beach, this condo features impressive original artwork throughout. With plenty of sleeping accommodations and a huge round glass dining table, this condo is perfect for families. For larger groups, this condo has a sister condo on the second floor, which when combined, can accommodate up to 16 guests.

The walk to the beach is only a block and does not require that you cross any major streets. You will also be staying within convenient access to all of the entertainment and restaurant venues on South Padre Island, so you may choose to dine out every night. But if you want to cook in, you will enjoy a fully-equipped kitchen. A washer/dryer and 2 reserved parking spaces within the gated complex add convenience.

Potential not realized

The location of this condo is good. Beach access is about a 10 minute walk. The small gated patio was good for storing our beach stuff. It is located adjacent to the hot tub. The gated entry to the parking lot will give some peace of mind but we saw many local workers with the codes. Also the gate is very slow. The furnishings were fine; beds good and kitchen equipment adequate. Stayed in many places on SPI over the last 18 years this place had virtually no supplies. no salt, no pepper, no spices, no left over condiments, no sponge, no coffee filters, no trash bags, 1 dishwasher detergent pod, no laundry pods. Other places on the island have all had beach towels. This had none - bring your own because there were only 3 towels in each bath. Additional deficiencies: there are missing sink stoppers in baths 1 & 2, The toilet flush lever is broken in bath 1. The toilet flapper in bath 3 runs. Dryer does not turn off when the door is opened - keep kids away. Wifi access required a couple of calls to Padre Getaways to get password. I booked through VRBO. However, shortly after committing I received an email from PG with links to an agreement. Terms on this agreement differed from the VRBO site on cancellation policy. This was resolved after a phone call with PG and typing “not applicable” rather than my initials next to the paragraph with PG terms. At best this is sloppy, at worst slimy. You must pick up a physical key from PG. Very quaint but late fee after 6pm.

Ok but not ok!

The unit was beautiful until we saw the shredded up couch. That was the first thing we noticed. I called the front desk so they would be aware(didn't wanna be blamed). They were fully aware and did NOT offer another unit or a compensation/discount. The pool was super small. And with all the people using it. It was like a pot of bacteria. We chose not to use the pool. Which was a bomber because the kids really wanted to swim...so did I. They sat on the patio watching. Would I stay here again? Wouldn't be my 1st choice ONLY because of the pool and couch. However, the host that I communicated back and forth with was sooooo sweet! And because of that...this would be my 2nd choice.

Great Condo

This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Las Verandas, different condos, but both times, clean and close to Claytons to park & go to the beach. I recommend this location to family & friends.

Great size!

This was a nice spot on the island. The only drawback was there was no clear beach access from the property, so you could not just walk to it. However, the size of the property was nice. Its a little close to the road, so you will hear traffic until about 11pm on the weekends. We did enjoy the property and all the amenities!
