The Waters Edge on Spruce Lake offers an enchanting fall getaway. Perched directly over the water, this charming abode boasts breathtaking views of the lake from every angle. Recently renovated with a new kitchen and modern amenities, it provides the perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm for your fall escape.

With indigenous-themed decor and native art pieces, The King Cottage exudes a unique ambiance. The 11-acre property features lush forests, cliffs, and 600 feet of pristine shoreline, making it an ideal backdrop for the vibrant fall season.

This absolutely stunning and historic cottage was built in1969 by a well-known Toronto architect John King. During the build, John needed to bring all the building materials over by boat. At the time cedar was the best choice, the outer and inner walls were all cedar. The road named Chandler after Thomas Chandler Haliburton was built in 1975 and the road is maintained year-round. The King Cottage as locals call it is situated directly on the water, it is cantilevered over the shoreline looking straight north, west, and east. Once featured in Home and Gardens Magazine Cottage Edition in 1971.

Total indoor space 950 square feet on 2 floors and over 1000 sq ft of new decks and railings. Brand new kitchen and appliances were installed this year. New Napolian BBQ and Napoleon woodstove for those chilly nights, all rooms have heaters as well and each room has its own charm and character. In one bedroom you can even watch the fish pass by from the large picture window or watch the boats on the lake pass by.
Extensive renovations also include a new bathroom sink, vanity, and toilet as well as a new lake water system and hot water tank. 80% of the windows have been added and replaced to feature the mesmerizing views out of each window. The cottage is decorated with an indigenous theme and has several native art pieces displayed. Such artists include Norval Morrisseau and John Laford. Canoe and paddles also decorate the interior for the boathouse feel.

The land comprises 11 acres of cliffs and lush forest sloping down to almost 600 ft of shoreline. Enjoy the long scenic drive into the cottage and view the rocky caves and cliffs. What are you waiting for?
