This renovated pet and wheelchair friendly haven sleeps 8 guests, offering fresh furnishings, new mattresses, and a modern kitchen. Relax in the hot tub, gather by the fire pit, and grill on the Weber. Quiet seasonal Oregon Coast tourist train goes behind backyard! Reserve now for an extraordinary city center vacation near beach, coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. Unforgettable moments await!

Step outside the front door of your single level home to the Beach and the main Rockaway Beach city center located on Highway 101 where many restaurants, coffee chops, ice cream parlors, bars and shopping areas or drive to many of the local attractions. We have highly sought after off street parking for up to three cars. We are proud to be one of the few wheelchair friendly rentals on the Oregon Coast with ramps that take you right to our one level home.

“Better Rule Breaker” Beach Hideaway is centrally located and surrounded by beaches - Rockaway Beach (100 feet), Diamond Beach (5 mins), Nehalem Beach or Cannon Beach. You can also go to enjoy a cone at Tillamook ice creamery (12 min drive), take a ride on the Oregon Coastal scenic railroad which i (1 min), shop at the boutique shops in Rockaway (50 feet), Nehalem, Cannon Beach and Tillamook. Rockaway Beach market is just 100 feet away and Fred Meyer is 15 mins. Enjoy the local restaurants including Rockaway Roastery (25 feet) and the Old Oregon Smoke House (100 feet). You can catch crab, dig for clams, rent a boat or charter a deep sea fish excursion at Garibaldi Port Pier.

We ask guests to adhere to City requirements for quiet time between 10pm and 8am. We are pet friendly!

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Your check out time is at 10am and I just have a few small favors to ask before you check out.
Please start one load of laundry (towels), start the dishwasher. The local housekeeping team is happy to handle all the rest including changing out the bedding for the next guest.
Lock all the doors and clean off the outdoor grill if you happen to have used it. We appreciate your decision to let us host you, and hope we’ve been able to meet your expectations.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Only overnight guests allowed on property. Guests not to exceed 8 total at all times. Any guests over reserved number will incur a $100/night charge.
Events require owner prior approval and end by 10pm. Respectful noise level at all times, quiet time required after 10pm. No filming or recording.
Unreported dogs may incur pet charge of $600. Monitor fire pit when lit at all times. Monitor kids at all times.

We absolutely loved this bungalow! Had everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of towels. Even chairs and wagon to take to the beach. Hot tub and fire pit, we loved! Very clean and Jen was awesome with communication and details. We will definitely rent again!

Awesome location, clean and fun!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Hubby and kids had a lot of fun with the arcade and gaming options. Location was perfect for the beach as well as train ride, shopping and restaurants. The hot tub is fantastic and the outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse away the sand. We look forward to coming back!

Beach 🏖 life at it’s best!

This beach house is so convenient, so close to the beach and at the same time in the heart of Rockaway. The location is fantastic, the house was clean, perfectly decorated, and looked exactly like the pictures. We loved the outside area, the hot tub and fire pit were so nice to wind down after a fun packed day! We loved the train that rides right in front of the house and the restaurants steps away. Jen communicated and checked on us through our stay and was so thoughtful to surprise us with a later checkout.

Best Oregon Coast Rental!

Our family's stay at this Oregon coast vacation rental was unforgettable! Better Rule Breaker Beach Bungalow is a hidden gem in the heart of town. We collected sand dollars on the sandy beach which was literally outside the front door. A coffee shop and bakery were just steps away for our daily caffeine and treats. The cozy fire pit and new hot tub were highlights for the whole family, especially Grandma, creating perfect memories under the stars. Inside, the modern, comfy interior and well-appointed bedrooms made it a family-friendly haven. Being in town gave us easy access to dining, shops, and attractions, simplifying our adventures. This rental offers the perfect mix of family-friendly amenities, a central location, and a warm fire pit for a fantastic Oregon coast getaway!

Amazing stay at BRB!

We stayed for 3 nights and had so much fun here! We didn't expect that being right in town would add so much to our experience. You can walk to several resistants, bars, shops, ice cream parlor, bakery, grocery store, etc. Great vibes all around, everyone is so nice and happy. We tend to look for more private locations but we're so happy we stayed here and got to be part of everything. And the beach is soooo close!! The train that runs right out front was really cute and didn't bother us at all. Everyone waves at you as it goes by. It stops at 5, so you don't hear it at night but even during the day, it wasn't an issue.The host was super responsive and accommodating. We spoke with Jen throughout the trip and got the chance to meet her husband when leaving. They're both such nice people and made this experience feel much more personal vs dealing with a rental company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 6 out of 5 stars

Cute spot

I would have rated cleanliness a 5 except there was sand all over the beds. Mainly the small bunk beds and the floor. Mainly the sand was all over 3 of the four little beds. Other than that it was very tidy. The kitchen was stocked with nice glasses and other items needed to cook up a storm. Very fancy toilet! Heated seat and a bidet to boot. Ample amount of clean towels and comfy beds. If you are traveling with kids I think it’s great. If traveling with tall adults probably not the best. Two queen beds perfect for regular to tall peeps and four tiny beds great for kids or small adults. The fire pit and sauna were lovely and they supplied wood which was super nice. Great location right in the heart of Rockaway. The giant white wiener sculpture wasn’t there though😏
