The manor was a perfect spot for a group of ladies, 60, who enjoy the beach, the Matunuk Oyster Bar, and having fun together, with their own bedroom! Very spacious and well appointed.
My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary with our three children and five grandchildren at Commodore Manor and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Everyone had their own bedroom and the kitchen and great room were perfect for spreading out. I would not hesitate to do it again. Thank you Meg and Ames for your service and hospitality!
This was just what we hoped it would be a place for our friends and family! We had a great place to be together in between the beaches. The property had great amenities and a fantastic kitchen to cook in, we were hoping for more outside time but the weather did not cooperate. That did not matter as there was plenty of room in the house,we had a great time!
Gorgeous house and absolutely PERFECT for a larger group. (The pictures almost don’t do it justice - it’s amazing)! Meg and Ames were great hosts. They had excellent communication and offered plenty of options on things to do. My group had so much fun. Looking forward to another stay!
Impressive spacious house ideal for very large group.
Wonderful setting with patio sitting / dining area looking outward to Block Island.
Could use attention to maintenance details of electrical switches and plumbing but does not detract from experience.
Outside grounds would be enhanced with cutting back of overgrown areas.
Short drives to everything. East Matunuck State Beach was pleasant surprise.
We were a party of 10 and enjoyed our stay.

We are from Southern RI, and live 15 minutes away. We enjoy fishing, boating, and the beaches.
Why they chose this property
We love this neighborhood. It's a private dead end road with very little traffic.
What makes this property unique
This house has views that are hard to match. You can see the ocean and also, due to being on top of a hill, you can see over the trees for miles.
Also, the house is very large, and has the feel of an older summer house that belonged to a very affluent family in the early 1900's.
